in the scenarious that I have played nobody ever talked to anyone else, it was strange but I then understood there is no reason to chat, no reason to get to know anyone join a faceless PQ, grind away, nothing to lose, no danger, boooooring join a faceless "open group", grind away, nothing to lose, no danger, boooring join a scenariou and run around ... nothing to lose, no danger, booooring

If players don' talk during PQ's (some cases), Scenerios (all cases) they loose. Agreed, WAR needs a but more Risk for the reward - maybe something that needs to be tweaked. I think the EGO is not to far to find but its not in the game..... |

Get in a guild. Make your own. We had a guild night last night and went killing Lair mobs for their rewards. We only got one and got romped by the other... but damn did I have a blast hanging out with those dudes. Haven't had that since DAoC... (inculding WoW... buncha solo hungry kids screaming for their toys that can't share) |

You can either agree with me or be wrong! |

Guilds give you a place. PQs will be done and over once you leave and those people don't really matter. The guild is another entity that levels also. It gives meaning to the teamwork and some pride. Can you level your guild in Hello Kitty? I think not... Seriously, join a guild, get the sand outa your vagina and make some friends. Its as easy as typing on the keyboard.
Edit - and seriously wtf is your logic on that last statement. Yeah you don't need a MMO to hang with friends but you're not playing an MMO at that point huh? So now that we're realizing we're going to be playing an MMO, it'd be nice to have some friends around huh? Use some logic before you post ffs. |

Let me guess, you also didn't try talking either and are complainign about other people not talking. Maybe they just started and don't know what the heck they are doing? You don't bother to chat when you're tryign to figure things out on your own. WAR isn't a solo game despite you being able to solo quests. Those who think they will solo and be successful in this game will be miserable. Guilds have already formed and alliances should be set up soon where communities form. In WAR as in DAOC, you don't talk to a faceless crowd. You talk to people individually and as a group at the guild level and as a crowd at the alliance level. When this happens, relationships are formed. WoW never had these relationship mechanisms. It was a faceless person talking to noone in particular. Or a faceless person talking at someone rather than to someone. To be part of the community, you, the player are responsible for creating it and participating in it. It's a new game, don't expect people to have insta communities and such. |

Most likely everyone is using voice. At least in my Guild everyone is in ventrilo. The scenarios and RvR are fast paced and descicions have to be made very quick. It would be impossible with chat. Join a guild with voice and you will have real fun. The PvP/RvR is highly competitive in WAR, especially in higher Tiers and without voice there is no chance you can compete.
If you are talking about PQ's, there is no need for chat. The Objectives are visible for everyone and there is not much to coordinate. If everyone plays his class correctly there is no problem. Of cause you get the odd PQ group where the healer thinks he is a DPS. The way PQs are set up is that healers are encouraged to heal as it gives them more points, tanks get points for tanking, etc. It is different to other games, there is no need for extensive chatting. |

I talk to people whenever I join a group or scenario, when I talk in a pq group i will get some people talking but not nearly all and I havent had anyone respond in a scenario.... >.<
Oh and I think it was the first post after OP that said "they will loose" or something, I just want to say it is lose not loose. Please understand the meaning of these words. I'm in no way trying to be an ass just saying if you understand what they mean you realise that if you are fighting someone and they win you dont loose.... And if it was just an error in typing I am sorry but there are still people who need to learn you can't loose anything, you lose, loose doesn't even come close to meaning the same thing. |

actually you have it backwards. This is how people start. Not how they end up. PQ and especially RvR warbands actually encourge socialisation. |

Um, if you're getting smashed in the face by a huge hammer or have fireballs being fired at you, would you be able to stop and speak to the guy next to you who's enduring the same thing?
I THINK NOT!
Geesh, you need to be more realistic sometimes, gawsh. |
