Core is pretty much the way the game was intended to be played. The RvR is focused in the RvR lakes in each tier or scenarios. However players can decide to flag themselves if they wish to in non-rvr areas. Plus the chicken mechanic works normally where a player higher then that tier will be turned into a chicken if flagged for RvR.

The other ruleset which is open is slightly different. The player is flagged for RvR everywhere except for chapter 1 hub and I think your capital city. Players can go down 1 tier safely with out being turned into a chicken, and the bolster buff is removed on this server.
