If you find this game worth an extra days pay, then it's money well spent. For me, spending $50 on the game, then losing $140 to play it is not even worth considering lol. But if it's worth it to you, it doesn't matter what anyone else says.

I just say I want that day off and he says "no problem". You are in serious need of "workmorale". You are the type of person who thinks it's ok to drink 20 beers on a sunday evening and call in sick monday. If you even have a job I'm guessing you'll be fired very soon, and the company won't be missing you, since you never do anything anyway. LYING IS WRONG... Nomatter who you do it to. It''s one thing to have a opinion, but enforcing one is unconstitutional. |

I wouldn't bother to call in sick - just would take a day off, except I am onsite out of town at a client's all week. On the flipside, I shouldn't gripe about a free vacation. I just want to play WAR!! |

Dear god chill out.. Calling in sick is not a federal crime and to be honest.. Alot of people in the US cant just "Take a day off" They would get reprimanded or fired.. So calling in sick is the way they get that ability.. How anyone can be so condescending.. |

Coincidentally, I was already taking off tomorrow for a doctor's appointment... so I'll have until late morning to cram as much WAR as humanly possible. =D Any word on an official SE launch time (US - EST)? |

Friendly Fire - Isn''t. |

Eh, calling in sick? I'll survive. I figure I'll let all the servers' populations fill out and see how the Order/Destro balance is. Just another way to push off my decision of what exactly I want to play as. Don't draw fire. It irritates the people around you. Friendly fire - isn't. When in doubt empty the magazine. Teamwork is essential. It gives the enemy someone else to shoot at. |

I'd be considering it if I wasn't working on an important task at work...
Hmm my boss might be reading these forums... I wouldn't ever do such a thing, ever. I am a good dedicated worker yessir.
Pity I can't play WAR while at work. By the time I got it downloaded and installed I'd probably be done for the day and on my way home to play. |

All this hatred over someone elses business.. lol... sad.. just sad... Please... I want one of these "model" citizens to tell us, what SHOULD their priorities look like? lol “There are dread secrets that none may know and have peace. I'm an older gamer. A supervisor. I have no one to call sick into. So, I told everyone I will be out tomorrow.
I remember when WoW started...I also remember thinking "I should have taken the next day off instead". |

Hmm, I'm thinking about going in at like 5am so I can take off early...and let the server caps get lifted :) |

Posted this about being sick on another thread...it fits better here.... If one of my guys came to me and said, "Sarge, I really need to be off tomorrow. There is this cool new game starting and I would like to play all day" I would most likely say "go for it".
Problem is, most of my guys have "killed" their grandmothers, their spouse's grandmothers, had their families have Ebola, flooded basements, roofs leaking, pregnant wives having "problems", religious issues (one guy converted to Muslium when he found out about Ramadan).
Point being, Bosses know calling in sick is usually 50% just that. the other is what we call "Calling in Slick" |

This is the huge downside of capitalism and what it does to people. You're condemned for wanting to take some personal time to enjoy something major like a huge game release, or a friends wedding, or anything for that matter. Heaven forbid you not want to be a slave to the work place your entire life. Life is more than "working." Fuck corrupt societies. |

Here is a news flash fennec - noone cares if you work or not. Noone cares if you take 1 sick day or 20 sick days. The only person you should be concerned about is yourself, and enjoying your life. If you don't look out for yourself and make sure you are grasping every opportinuty to live life to the fullest, who is going to do it for you? Your boss? Wake the f*** up. |

And call in sick for once in your life. It's liberating. I'm lucky...I have 'no questions asked' personal days. As long as it's an hour before my shift, I don't have to give any reason other than, I'm not coming in...period!
*cough* I'm not feeling well tonight *cough*
