Surrender!?!.....Hell we got''em right where we want them!

9/14/08 1:02:08 PM#26

Now, that was a better reply than the first.......

I see what your saying, I havent got that far into AOC to see the broken siege's. I just enjoy playing the game.

The "bandwagon" reply was based on the fact that these boards are filled with alot of children with their one line smart aleck replies.

Small example...... I dont like this game for this reason, and I support this game for this other reason.

                                   Reply: You suck....go away!!    LoL!!

I hope you see my point....hope Warhammer has a great release and then they follow up with a 40K series. After being a Marine for 9 years I'm more partial to playing the Space Marines

Was going to cancel and just start over on a 5th WoW server get to 70 again then start over. I really really hate the raids in Wow. However wife likes it so I guess we will be in War for awhile.

Nope, I'm done buying MMO's at release. Got burned with Vanguard, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa and recently AoC. I don't know, I think I expect too much from these games.  :(

maybe in the future I am more interested in TCOS atm, Ill wait for their trial first, the reviews, and initial bug fix/content patches and then only buy it if I dont like TCOS for whatever reason.

Maybe when all the content is in the game... I wan't all the cities and that neat thing when the model change after the level you are... You know, orcs get bigger and so on.

I don't want to play another game without important content that will be in god-knows-when. But the chanse is that Spellborn is out then and I will get it.

I already pre-ordered it...and I loved the OB and will love the game for one whole reason alone: its not WoW.

Hope everyone has fun though.

Yeah that was pretty funny...I don't see WAR being anything like WoW...it looks better and plays better to me..not so damn boring like WoW either.

I didnt get to play in the beta as much as I hoped, but I am still going to get it. I loved Dark Age back in the day, so I have faith in Mythic. Several of my friends have it preordered as well, so that really is the deal sealer. We haven't all played the same game since Dark Age. I thought WoW was ok, but I never really stuck around long enough for the endgame content, and I never was in a good guild to enjoy the community aspect. Plus I'm always late to the game, so starting at launch will be a new experience (just hoping there isnt too many balance issues early on)

While Warhammer looks nice I just can't bring myself to play a actual pvp focused game that holds no risk.

Game looks like a bunch of mentally retarded chimps rushing each other over and over.

Another MMO catering to the FPS/WoW crowd.

Yes, but only because Im gonna meet some old online friends again, the game itself is nothing for me, to simple built.

You bet.  It's Wow w/o the fat aka timesinks and bs.  Pqs resemble raiding enough, and Scenarios are a blast to play.  Rvr is a mix of both pvp and pve.  The real kicker, I can do all of this at lvl. 1.

The casualness of the game may turn some people off, but it's exactly the reason why this game rocks.  If you're sick of sitting 4 hours a night raiding and the same boring bgs in Wow, do yourself a favor and check out this game.

After a week of beta...

Nope, I won't be joining the Warhammer hysteria.

It wayyy to linear and you just get dragged by your nose through the "game" targetting pre-chewed activities. Zero thinking required. Its a very good MMOG but not a very good MMORPG at all.

Games, above all else, are about fun. MMORPG's are no different. If you are not having fun, find something else to do with your time and money and stop your bitchin.

Well, I've now tried it and the answer is a solid NO. It's an odd mixture of GW, WoW and LineageII. It's rather shallow and too linear for my taste. Combat is zerg vs zerg, kill all healers first is pretty much all you need for tactics (that's my brief experience anyway).

Not a bad game, but just meh.

By the way, here's old Warhammer video. It's the one Climax was making years ago, and I must say it looks way more exciting that what Mythic pulled out.

I've bee playing for a week now,  since open beta started. Must admit it is better than I thought it would be and it is better than most fantasy games out there(i.e. World of Warcraft). I was even impressed by the Realm vs. Realm combat and the Public Quests, but in my honest opinion there is still alot to be worked out and the game is not ready for launch. With all that said though I'm getting really tired and bored of fantasy games. How many times can you really rework The Third Race?  Its been done to death now. So in the end no I won't be buying the game.

When we get back from where we are going, we will return to where we were. I know people there!

If Warhammer, becomes a good game and doesn't flop I will buy it maybe a year from now.  Give it some time... I am not buying games at release anymore either.  Most of these games are hyped so much I don't believe it anymore.

I always get new mmos out there, paying for the box + one month is always a fair deal to try the game and not that much of an expedinture

I am currently subscribed to wow (bored shitless with raids), I also own an account in Aoc with 2 level 80s but due to lack of content it won't be my main mmo

looking forward to warhammer providing some purpose and endless hours of entertainment

Yeah ... funny for having an opinion. What you chose to omit was his 'hope everyone else has fun' part of the post.
