Somehow I knew in hell there would be mushrooms. |
Well my friends are going to Open RVR, but I'm not sure. I might join them casually and also play on RP Open RVR. That sounds like it'll be more fun for me. Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV |

Hard choice between Open RvR and Core for me. On the one hand, Core would be better because of the anti-griefing measures against higher level dumbasses who get their kicks off of killing low lvls all day. On the other hand, Open RvR would be better because more people will tend to participate in Open Field RvR rather than the scenerios compared to Core. Tough choice.... |

I think I'm going with Roleplaying Open RvR. Although I'm certain there will be plenty of griefing, I'm willing to live with that as long as there's much more emphasis on Open World RvR over Scenarios. And I'm pretty certain that those who choose the open rvr option will be gungho about the open rvr vs. scenarios. It'll be worth it once I reach the high lvls. |

As you get further along in the tiers, I'm pretty sure the focus will move from scenarios to open world RvR. What open RvR servers do, is dilute the open world PvP. Rather than everyone going to one area where the objectives are to PvP, they can just run around anywhere and gank. Because of this, it's my opinion that core will end up being more fun and more successful in the long-run. |

You got a point there. However, there is always the lingering danger that it will just turn into WoW where everybody just goes to the scenarios (because of the easy phat lootz and xp/rps) and nobody does open world rvr. At least with Open RvR, you know 99% of the people choosing that server type are predisposed to open world rvr. |

I myself am considering the core servers. |
