Its all fun and games until the flying monkeys attack. |
So to those of you who dont know. Resilence is a PvP stat that reduces the chance you get crit, reduces dot damage, reduces crit damage, and reduces the amount of mana lost of a mana burn and such. In Wrath they are adding some gear with serious resilence. Some pieces have 50+ on it, and the max resilence count is up in the 700's. The max CURRENTLY is something like 490. With 490 resil, you are basicly uncrittable and almost any class becomes like a tank. Also in the xpack, A lot of the gear, for pallys for example, has over 100 stamina on it. For those who dont know, thats 1000 hp on a single piece of gear. My friend had 19.5k unbuffed with his gear in the beta. I think adding so much more resilence will seriously break pvp more then it is already broken. With 700 resilence, You will NOT crit, your dots will do half damage, and mana burns and such do a fourth of the mana burned. While I do think gear from raiding Arthas will have absoutly INSANE amounts of stamina on it.. I can put up with that because most classes will get a major hp buff.. But 22k hp with 750 resil seems like a 30 minute fight to me. Just my two cents. |

Talk about gear centric. I'm very glad i left. And they said the gear jump wouldn't be as big as in BC lmfao. |

Take out crits from the game and problem solved, its a useless mechanic anyways. |

? I seriously don't see the need for crits I mean all it does is add luck into the game. |

OP, i don't see what you're worrying about. Resilience is a rating and thus at level 80 750 resilience will probly be equivalent to ~400 at 70. People will have more health, but will more than likely be negated by the fact that they can do more damage. I doubt anything will change. |

Resilience and HP may be doubled, but so is damage, crits and res scaling with level.700 Resilience at 80 may be pretty low, you don't really know how it will scale with level and the cap will still be there. Nothing to worry about really..

See, there's this thing called luck. It does NOT balance out in the end. I was helping someone farm their PvP achievements. Crits in arena makes each tick 80% luck, unless you manage to get a team that is vastly stacked. Buts its arena so they should scramble quickly enough. Literally, playing in arena with crits (aka luck) on is like rolling a dice. Its really not fun the 30th time.

Ugh, more of the same. They really need a new lead design. |

Any new or returning player to WOW, send me a PM for some help getting started. |

Please go play Warhammer.. they have a resilliance stat also.
And as other have pointed out.. scaling works from 70-80 the same as it works from 60-70. 700 Res will give you the same percentage at 80, as 450 Res gave you at 70. It's the same as Crit, Hit, Block, Parry, Dodge etc... if you keep the same gear, it will become less effective as you level. If you are an ex-wow player and want to come back. Scroll of Rez gives 7 free days, boost a character to 80 a realm and faction change. Send me PM for an invite. Only 1 per day available |

To be frank they are just hotdogs, their girls are relish, and they need to ketchup on their pimpin. |

No amount of STA or Resilience is gonna change the grindfest and sub-par PvP. |

WoW has delivered all of the stats with gear that they have no room for further gear additions. Increase the HP, increase the mana, increase the +damage.... and let the crowds fight for gear again and again, till the next big patch comes in. That's what happens if you make a full gear centric game. No skill, just gear. Master and servants. ----------------------------- Ted Treffon: I don't represent Hardbodies. Just as an example, the entry level epics in the new version of naxx; typical values for a spell damage weapon are around 400 spellpower, the equivalent from kara is around 200 spellpower. Theres also a lot of armour penetration on melee/ranged physical weaponry and armour. As others have said it will balance out. |
