I started off playing the NA open beta because GOA still hadn't pulled their finger out. I switched over to the EU beta a couple of days ago.
One thing that was very prominent when playing NA was a very irritating laggy stutter. First I thought it could be my graphics settings, so I toned those down. But after switching back and forth between the two, it became apparent that these stutters were regional. EU played virtually stutter free, NA was irritatingly stuttering all over the place. It had a definite effect on using ability's during RvR. I thought it was just bad coding and it may well be. But the truth of the matter is that at present if you want to play NA because you're fed up with GOA's incompetence, be prepared to embrace the stuttering! To wank, or not to wank. The ultimate MMO sacrifice. |

Wouldnt the lag have someting to do on where you live? If you live in France and youre playing on a NA server, I would think that youre gonna get more lag because youre so far away from the server. |

Actually I used to log on US server while playing AOC But the biggest problem was the timings My guildies were most of the time not online or activity was far less during the timings I logged in
That why for why which is RVR game I will stick with EU |

So are you people who are able to play better on NA servers going to be playing there gone launch? Personally even if my connection was better to NA I'd stick with EU because of the time difference - and in the hope that things would improve! :) To wank, or not to wank. Originally posted by Hamrtime2 I don't think so, in EQ2 I have lagg on EU servers, no whatsoever at the US servers... The reason is probably that SOE don't give a #¤% about Europe and have old crappy EQ servers there (just a theory but I ain't the only one with lagg problems). I been playing quite a few games on US servers and never any problems. Also the data packet can travel around half the world even if you are sending it to someone else in the same country. It is probably something else. Probably some settings that is off. |

1 reason to play on NA servers :- GOA
and yes I am going to play on NA servers as I doubt that they can turn it around any time soon. |
