Alot of peeps must be able to remember how things went down with dark and light....tons of people we're besotted with D&L months before release, then it got closer to release, NDA dropped, all hell breaks loose....game goes from Sixty to Zero in nearly one day.

And then you get Age of Conan, same sort of senario...many people creaming over this game months before release, then come beta, NDA lifted....BOOM!  All hell breaks loose..game begins is slow demise to Zero.

Funny how things work.

I wonder if anyone at Funcom ever thought to themselves that they would never act like farlan did at the time of D&L's demise.. lol

Aoc what a waste of $50 mil

Luckily I did not witness that one first hand (had planned to but got lucky).

But this seens about the same, massive hype and the fast road to a forgotten memory.

I'm sad that I missed the DnL failure, cause I havent had this much fun in forums ever before. I check Funcom stock several times per day, X-fire numbers, forum posts etc. Being the evil person I am every single negative thing about Funcom warms my black heart. I sold my Collectors Edition used about 2 weeks after I bought game and I got all money back and I did have quite many hours of fun in Tortage aswell. But the lies, the game maybe wasnt for me anyway, but all the lies that they spewed out, that's what is making me wanna see em fail. Same thing with alot of other companies, but this one actually looks to be failing cause of their lies. It feels like this company should be set as a future example how not to treat your customers and hopefully it will only be remembered as that.

Hmmm i've not played AoC but was considering picking it up in a couple of months. I reckon they'll address the issues and rebuild what they've lost they've put everything into the game why would they cut there own throats.

 

I have read the posts in the forums as I was considering buying this game

 

I am not a FAN BOY just ... someone who likes to try things himself.
