I'm using the new google browser at the moment so i don't have an add blocker. This wasn't much of a problem up until 5 mins ago when i had the misfortune of coming onto a page with a flash advertisement for ace online.
Its loud as hell, so completely invasive... and it LOOPS! What i ask is the point of looping a loud advertisement indefinitely? I had a BBC iPlayer window open on the other screen so i couldn't use the mixer in vista to turn crome down. Seriously i was happy enough to leave advertisements on as i wasn't too bothered (which suprised me) but as soon as a blocker is released for crome ill be using it. I realise advertisments = revenue.... but invasive advertisments like this just get people irrated, and give ad blocking software another user. And it doesn't do the game any favors either.

To the devs of this site. PLEASE remove the stupid ad. The sound is anoying as heck. To whatever company runs Ace Online. Fire the person or ad agency that came up with the idea of using sound in your ad. Ads are supposed to make people want to play your game, not to make them irratated. I will never try your game because of that ad.

Funcom needs to change the /petition command into a general nano called "Summon Personal Jester" I keep hearing about this cloud computing thing and I bet that's where FC is putting the grahics engine. Right now they're investing in the weather balloon technology to get all the bits of code up there. Helium is expensive so it might take awhile. |

I just went into "tools" in IE7 and disabled flash. Simple and effective. MMORPG.com doesn't control their ads very well. This ad is super annoying. A couple months ago one of the flash ads locked up peoples computers. |

/signed I don't mind most of the ads at all - I mean hey MMORPG.com has got to pay the bills... but I hate 'intrusive' ads - especially ones you can't shut up without leaving the page These ads DO get my attention, they DO NOT cause me to form positive interest, in fact they leave behind a NEGATIVE feeling of annoyance and thus work against your original goals.  Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

they ad needs to go. I uninstalled this game due to the ad being annoying. I was going to try it soon killing time waiting for Warhammer. I also don't get all the annoying spy-ware/mal-ware that comes with those ads at times that I see people complaining a lot about here from time to time. If you're really tired of it my best suggestion is to just use Firefox with a few simple free addons like Adblock Plus and IE Tab (for those pages that insist on using IE). Simple fix, eh?
