1- People are too busy wanting to play/level/rvr/kill to worry about talking. 2- I think when people do talk they get frustrated at the chat window caue it isnt' very noticable.. alof of text goes scrolling by and you miss alot of what someone says unless you see a bubble over thier head... very confusing to people who dont' go in and customize thier chat..

very true and also, at least for me, you need to click on teh type of chat and then the chat window to be able to talk |

Since most of the servers are dead I didnt see really any chat when i tried to play. But between all the memory leaks and system crashes I didnt really get a good enough chance to see any. The bit I did see was just the same stuff of "this game sucks" and " the beta testers must have been blind" and stuff like that no real conversations. |

None at all. It kinda scares me. Even craptastic AoC had plenty of chat going on during beta. |

i do believe one of the many things they need to work on is player interaction because it is hard to talk to people which makes relationships very hard to form |

if anyone here is in a guild, does your guild chat much? |

I don't think I've seen much chat at all, if any. But I usually don't pay attention anyway; I'm so used to turning off chat in games like WoW because off all the idiots and spam. But I think that as soon as it goes live, there will be a lot more chat going on. |

I still stand by my opinion that WAR is a multi-user single player game, and this lack of communication between players might just be a result of that, just a thought! |

Nah.. too much of the game is geared abour PVP that requires Groups.. and alot of team oriented stuff.
PQs, instances, RVR, all rely on more than one person.. and the pve leveling isn't rich enough to stand out ABOVE all that.. to make it a single player game with multiplayer. AOC is a single player game with multi users.. since group dynamics in that game sucked.. aggro management was NIL. and the world was just WAY too small.. but ask protus about that.> i think he is the only one here that still plays that game.

i believe they need to revamp the chat, and i too hated the excess chat in WoW but now in this game where this is practically nothing i kinda miss it. you dont realize something is there until it is gone :( |

I've been playing for a few weeks now and have noticed very little chat. I think as a previous poster noted it is due to the difficulty of using the chat in game, it requires 2 clicks before you can start typing and is not quite polished yet. The second thing that is causing a lack of interaction is the pvp aspect of the game. Its impossible to type and pvp at the same time. I did join and guild and even there there is not much chatting, again I believe because of the PVP action. |

I get absolutely no conversation whatsoever. None in local chat. None in /shout None in RvR scenarios and none in Warband. There was only one time where I actually could carry on a conversation with my warband. Other than that its as silent as a tomb. Which scares me. Never have I experience such hardcore silence. In Scenarios I am ALWAYS the only one talking....giving tactic advice etc |

I get zero talk as well. This worries me. It's really feels like a solo game to me. The last betas I played, chat was very active. Played: Aion,AoC,APB,CO,CoX,CC,DCUO,DDO,EVE,EQ,EQ2,FE,FFXI,GA,GW(V,F,N),H:L,L2, |

well there are tanks dps healers in this game, and if you know how to do you job you don't need some jerk screaming orders in you ear in this game, and i love that why would i want to hear some one yell orders at me when i have my rocking tunes blasting in my headphones as i chop hack slash my way in this game good times |
