There was a thread a lil while back (see below) that posed the question, what side will you be taking, Order or Destruction?  After a couple hundred posts it was almost a universal split down the middle. About a single percent or two difference between the two. So I'm curious, what happened?

  As anyone who's in the OB knows, if you look down the list of servers the Pop. balance isn't anywhere close to even. Looking down the list always, without fail, looks like this:

Order/Destruction: Med/High - High/Full - Full/Full - High/Full - Med/Full - High/Full - Med/High etc etc etc.

  So in the interest of science, and in the name of Amp energy drinks, which were sadly on sale at the local store for a measly 25 cents a can, (I bought about 40). I propose another Survey. What happened to population balance?

I play order. But i may be switching to Chaos soon. Chaos has a Meat shield. Empire doesnt for some reason. when it comes to RVR Scenarios the team with the better meat shields or the team with a meat shield at all wins.

I agree totally.

The Swordmaster is bloody awful, and not everyone wants to play a dwarf. They're just not cool.

I'm destruction atm. I am however now reconsidering my choice due to the way some of the classes are, like the iron breaker abilities makes black orc and chosen look a bit dull.

i choose to play Destruction, because i think playing the bad guys are more fun :)

Being as it is OB, I have been trying both sides and several characters. (using 2 servers of course)

Chaos I have a Zeolite which is fun to play so far ... and just looks wicked cool.

  In fact .. most all of Destructions toons look cool.

 I have a sword master on the Order side as well .. and is OK so far .. but havent really done much as far as pvp w/her tbh.

 Thing is .. as mentioned in another thread here alread .. and i must agree .. Alot of the order toons (specially the swordmaster) Just look gimpy.  I mean c'mon ... why would a tank wear a dress?

  Meanwhile .. Destruction's tanks are all decked out in plate and just look good.

 TBH, I think thats some of the issue there. At least for me as stupd as it may sound.   I really dont want to invesat alot of time into a tank the looks like they would rather go out ballroom dancing than fight a war lol.

Over all the game is preety good ... just wish theyd done more w/graphics.   I understand the fact they want everyone, even those with smaller pc's to be able to run it ... but we should at least have the option for better graphics :(.      In my case... mine deosnt even break a sweat and is capable of soooo much more :(

I have always playe the "evil" side in MMOs but this time I wanted to try something different.  I started out with Order but to be honest I got sick of getting totally raped in RvR.  I did almost 50 scenarios and lost all but 1 of them.  And all the ones I lost weren't even close, like 100-500.  So I rolled a Black Orc and never looked back.  Not to mention, playing a greenskin is a total blast and very amusing.  The first time I got launched over the dwarf wall on that catapult I knew that was the race for me.  These are the coolest Orcs I've ever seen. 

I am playing destruction.

I'm hoping my friends will play destruction. If they don't I will beg them to.

And if that doesn't work, I guess I'll play order. :/

But really, I'm an orc at heart. Any game with an orc, I atleast got to try out the classes given to them, and I'm really digging the Black orc.

The only classes that really look cool to me on the order side are the Engineer and Witch Hunter.

I may go Witch Hunter if I go order, they seem ok...Then again, I've been wrong.

Order cause I like to play the underdog.

My old-time guild is going to shine among the scrubs currently populating order!

I don't get why people just can't play what they wanna play instead of trying not to play what everyone else does.

I chose destruction and switched to order for population reasons only.  It sucks BALLS waiting a long time to que for a scenario.  Donkey balls.  I hope it's a decision I won't regret!

playing order cuz my friends picked it.. and cuz dest is overpopulated.. but i feel lack of certain classes in order which dest have..

and high elf male looks terrible.. that face..

I like the fact that the game recommends a faction and server when you start up for the first time, may help balance the people who come in with no idea what they want to play or at least not a server preference.

They really should have an option with that pop up though that lets you chose the non-recommended faction and then recommends one where there is a need for it, or at least a balance.

As far as preferences, a lot of polls show a fairly even split, but Open Beta so far has confirmed the Destruction imbalance.

I really hope things work out fairly even, much more fun for everyone that way, given the dynamics of RvR.

Are there any bonuses in game for the underpopulated side?

The beta is probably only housing core players. People who actually want to try out for the game or have been waiting to play it.

As someone in another thread said, barely any "casuals" on the beta, and it will probably even out more when live.

You have the casuals and more "Goodie two shoe" go for order, and the hard core pvp types go for Destruction....Also the 13 year old kids that think chaos are teh kewl.

I am going to go with destruction I have narrowed it down to either squig herder, disiple of khaine, or maruader. I am kinda leaning towards the disiple since my little brother is planing on rolling black orc

Well i'm playing both sides on different servers, as i've come to like my dwarf runepriest, and my greenskin gobby, also i like the orcs and then there is empire which is really deep, archmage is fun as hell and classy, squigs are crazy fun, i like so much about warhammer that i'm not able to choose sides. 

I'll be one of those nuts that plays too much and has too many alternate characters, but that's how it is with me.

Destruction simply because the major flaw for myself with WAR is the classes. Order lacks any classes that interest me, and the one that I enjoy playing on WAR is the one which is almost identical to a class from another popular MMO you might have heard of - Witch Hunter.
