Ok so I am into half of my first level so I feel I am fairly qualified to judge this game here.  Here is some specs on my pc.

486mhz pentium

64mb integrated graphics

128mb Ram I got from Walmart

So now on with my review.  First off the graphics are horrible!  I don't see how they can spend millions of dollars and get graphics like these.  If I were Mythic I would ask for my money back from the designers.  And as far as animation goes it's terrible.  Everyone knows orcs and goblins don't move like that in real life.

As far as pvp goes I feel I am held back.  I don't feel powerful at all.  I don't know what they were thinking.  I don't have a soundcard yet but if I did I would think the sounds would not be up to par.

Also there is no excuse even though we are in beta and these are the first times these servers have had to handle all these people.  Why can't they get it 100% right before they let people play these things.  I know it is not my rig because I can max out Wolfenstein 3d with AA and everything turned way up.

So for my final conclusion I think WAR WILL NOT BEAT WOW.  Won't happen.  War can't do it.  If they were arm wrestling WOW would rip WAR's arm right off!

It's really easy for them to bash and shittalk nearly anything that disagrees with their opinion. The fact the some people here are disgruntled or between games seems to make it hard for them to accept that other people are happy with some of the offerings on the market.

That's some immature thinking, imo. Why compare games? It's frankly simple. Don't like it; don't play it. We already had gotten SIMILIAR opinions on the game, therefore this review is absolutely irrevelant.

I personally think that the graphics is awesome. I'm not one to look for effects from the skills because that's not even important in the gameplay. To actually fight is. Who gives a fuck about the glows, sparks, or whatever you graphic snobs care about these days.

I'm a level 10 Dark Elf Sorceress so far in the game. I'd know and have played a lot longer than you have to enjoy it. I'm sure glad I'm not you cuz you seem absolutely boring. No offense.

My review exactly.  I use a Tandy 1000.

I got the early release of AOC and played it for about two months. I really liked it but the zones and world layout seemed rather confusing and having everything zoned or instanced instead of one big world kinda ruined it for me.

If you go to the AOC forums though all you see is posts like:

Why AOC Failed...

Failcom are Retards and always will be....

How long before the servers are shut down?

Worst MMO Ever...

and then you have the normal threads about how WOW is the best MMO ever and always will be. I swear these guys must be on Blizzards payroll.

My review exactly.  I use a Tandy 1000.

I tried and tried to get this to run on my Tandy Model 1, with optional cassette tape storage, but no one in town had enough tapes to fit this game onto it.

Wolfenstein 3D... Fine! I giggled! Shoot me. ;D

Sadly, no other games compares at this point. That can be based off of anything. We can say game sells if you would like. Or subscriptions will work. I walked into starbucks 3 weeks ago and saw 2 hot chicks playing world of warcraft, it was rather surprising.

World of Warcraft is played by the casual gamers that aren't your typical mmorpg player that tries just about every game out. They are played by everyday people that play 1 game and that is, world of warcraft. Some got hooked thanks to their bf's and the guys got hooked because they were into mmorpgs at the time or still are.

I've enjoyed playing Lineage 2 for 3 years. Bots are taking over it sadly. I played world of warcraft in beta and then 6 months thereafter and then quit because worldly pvp was pretty much...gone. I don't know. I just think to this day nothing has what Wow does. But how can we seriously compare others to wow that aren't like wow? We can't. Warhammer is like wow in some aspects, such as graphics. We only compare it to wow I think because it looked to be exactly like wow in the cinematic and alot of the aspects of the game ARE like wow. I don't see why people say they aren't. Warhammer, the graphics have problems. I jump on a fence and walk over a little and I'm levitating in the air. If you really pay close attention to the graphics right now, you will notice they aren't nearly as close as to other games out. You can also compare to Everquest 2. Why compare games though? Each game has a unique feature about it.

If you enjoy Warhammer, you shouldn't let other players opinions bother you. Keep playing and enjoy it. As long as you're having fun. Personally, It's not the game that did it for me. I'm still waiting for a game that comes out that has a mix of wow and lineage 2, atleast graphics wise. I want clean graphics. I've played almost every mmorpg that has been released. Everquest 2, Neocron, Tabula Rusa, Lineage 2, Asheron's Call, Silkroad, Vanguard, LOTRO, and many many others. Personally, Warhammer didn't cut it and it's just ok. Def. won't outdo World Of Warcraft. Why would I say that? who cares right? Well I think we where all hoping this game would take out Wow and give them alot of competition. I think after playing beta though, that isn't going to happen.

The OP is making a joke at the expense of those whom have criticized the game.  You can easily do the same for those praising it:

Haha =/ Sadly after playing warhammer, hear something funny. I am wanting to get back into world of warcraft now. Ye, sad right? I enjoy the good ol wow days. Even playing in Burning Crusade was fun. But then I just bring myself back to realitiy and remember, it's based on instances and getting gear ...and having the chance of sitting in an instance for 4 hours and not getting anything.

I may go back though, still undecided. I just don't think War will keep me entertained...sucksss I wanted something to do when bored and wanting a game to play...now back to wondering what the hell is there to do as far as mmorpgs go....might just go back to wow eh...or still play warhammer when retail comes Tuesday since I've got it pre-ordered....

Of course there will be WoW versus WAR things, it's natural, they're 2 MMOG's that have much in common. I don't care who stole what ideas from who, or if blizzard ripped of DAoC, the only thing that matters to me is what's the most fun to play. There are also many WoW players that are considering to switch over to WAR, therefor it's natural to compare the two.

Also about the servers. Even if this is beta I don't think it's okay to promise players an open beta and then 3 days after still nothing works as it is supposed to with the registration site. Some are in but many player probably aren't. Even if it's GOA and not Mythic to blame, there's no difference really, they should be able to get it right after 3 days. And no I'm not someone who is just angry because I didn't make it into the open beta, because I did and I tried the game, and I think it's okay but I know I'd get bored of it quickly, I've no complaints about the graphics though.

In all seriousness, my only problem with WAR right now is I feel too guided along rails.  I know they structered it like that to maintain the fun factor.  Who can argue with fun?  But I think I prefer the meandering around the world type game a bit more.  And I know they aren't going to delay the game to change the whole thing around for little ol me. lol

I like WOW alright, played it enough of it over the years to really want more battlegrounds or at least some different environments of the current ones.  Playing a mmorpg for however many hours a week can make it so when you hear the login music you cringe.  My only problem with AOC was the game was a blast for the first 20 levels then literally after leaving the island I realised I hated the game design of it.  Instancing has it's place in mmorpgs but the more heavily instanced it is it seems to take away the openess of the world.
