Sitting here at work, kinda bored and I thought I would throw this out. For the OB(those that are playing or have played) please post one positive thing about WAR and one negative about WAR. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone just looking around at the game. Positive: I love, love, love the Public Quests's. They are the most fun I have had in a game in a long time and it is a great way to get something accomplished when you only have 15-20 minutes to spare. They also force teamwork in the harder PQ's and final stages. People tend to group up easily and do there part. Since heals, damage, etc. all count towards your contributions, no one minds doing what there class is made to do(healers heal, tanks tank) This is a part of a game I would encourage all new MMO's to put in their game in some way or fashion. Negative. I have only gotten to level 18 during CB and 11 in OB and I'm not really thrilled about the itemization. The stats are great on items and gear, but some of the gear at lower levels looks exactly the same. I purchased some new PvP gear at renown rank 8 and the weapon I received was the exact same model as the green axe I had been carrying around for 3 levels. I am an item junkie and if they could add some new models at lower levels for weapons and armor, I would be overjoyed. The itemization is not game breaking by no means and this is such a small issue, it really doesn't bother me that much. |

1. It seems very stable (good). 2. The graphics and animation are bad for a new release. |

Good: It’s Warhammer... nuff said. Bad: Siege Combat, I wish there were a few more things carried over from DAoC. Such as: destructible walls/building and the ability to place siege weaponry wherever. All in all, very good game :)

Good: Wahhhhg Bad: my poppy hates it. "Society in every state is a blessing, but government even in its best state is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one ..." - Thomas Paine |

The bad is the out of sync animations and the sound isnt all that great.
The good is that its fun plain and simple. Its everything that Mythic said it would be and nothing more or less. |

good: achievements/ tome xp system for bonuses etc Bad: crafting isnt looking so good right now...might be because its beta but if not they have a lot to work to get it fixed |

Good: 1. It launched, stopping the hype (but most don't realise it yet). Bad: 2. It launched and now it's Darkfall hype within 2 weeks (but most don't realise this yet). |

good: Standards. My god they own. Bad: the "Unit's not attackable" bug.

Good: The way they implemented RvR and PvE. Makes PvE only players see RvR as something other than a gank fest. The ability to go get gear without grinding hour long raids. Bad: Animations are ok, but this should be an easy fix that i hope is cleared by launch. Bugged mobs(Causing you to fail a PQ) also an easy fix. |

Nice tthread. Good: 2 targeting system Bad: Community seems pretty silent on my server. playing: Dragon Age |

Good-Public quests, PVP, fast paces, and very stable BAD-Was said earlier, EVERYONE looks the same. Very little art work or diversity in the character models. ALso very little animation. (I KNOW petty)
all in all i have to give it an A- for launch and work.

Somehow I knew in hell there would be mushrooms. |
1- Very good RVR stability. 50+ people on screen, high spell effects and very little lag for me. Extremely fun battles. 2-Balance. I have seen at least triple the number of zealots to rune priests and archmages, they just seem more appealing to play I suppose. Realm population balance is fine, however Order seems far more interested in PQs and PvE, at least on my server. There is very little cooperation in RVR, people run off to do whatever on their own instead of joining open Warbands. Those of us who do work together are quickly overwhelmed, and it becomes a bore. Order will need some great captains come release, or I'd be willing to put money down on which capitcal city will fall first! Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV |

1 - Good: WoW Kiddies have not made it over to War yet so the Community is relatively safe!!
2 - Bad: WoW Kiddies will eventually come over to War and ruin it for us all............... Its worse to actually think about doing something then actually doing it!!! |

Good: Gameplay, pvp, rvr, public quests Bad: i thought that the 2 sides would play completely differently but after playing, ive realized theres only a handful of really unique classes. example: shaman plays like a archmage brightwiz plays like a sorceress etc etc.... and i dont just mean like , shaman and archmage are both caster/healers, they basically get the same skills with different names |

Good: "Tome of Knowledge" is very well implented, a nice addition packed with lore and progression infos. Bad: Pairing imbalances, for example on Empire vs. Chaos the humans have hardly any tanks in RVR/scenarios or PQs. Probably will get better after release when guilds&groups are forming and playing together. If you are not accustomed to eating kiwi, go slow at first. |

1. Seems to be run by decent management (only fluke seen so far is this fiasco with GOA). Mythic seems very honest. But most importantly, considering they are a demon spawn of EA, they should have an overflow of funds to complete the goals that they have set out, which they seem to be doing for the most part. 2. Graphics and animations are, although not as horrible as many extreme haters like to say, below their times. Yet, for a game like this that has a focus on large amounts of players in the same area at once, it seems fitting to say the least. Maybe this game will recieve a graphics upgrade as technology allows for it but I would highly doubt it. Animations, though, don't really have an excuse. They need a serious upgrade, and I have to honestly say, they are pitiful.

Just a nitpick, they aren't "spawned" from EA - they were aquired. The difference being, they had their own system and style already established and EA pretty much left them alone to do their job and take a cut of the profits. This woud have been different if Mythic had started out in the EA culture. Bad - Faction imbalances. Not just population, but coordiantion. Order never seems to have it's act together, at least insofar as I've seen. Plus, the fact that some pairings start off with tanks in the early scenarios and other pairings don't is a bit of a miff. |

Good: Better than wow in nearly every possible way and more casual. Bad: Wow kiddy migration will slowly devolve this game, and the genre over the years.

good: huge amounts of content, RvR, gameplay combat (requires skill and teamwork rather than spamming skills) Bad: PQ bugs, Open world RvR can get choppy, lack of variety on armor and equipment stlyes (would like to have more options on what equipment to wear other than dyeing it) also wow fans in game bent on hating war no matter what and whining about every thing that reminds them of wow and everything that isnt like wow. i really hope that lich king expansion is leet or w/e so they all stay there. |

The good: PvP/RvR is stacks of fun. PQ's liven up questing. The bad: Ain't too chuffed with the items so far, char has looked the same for the past 8 ranks. The ugly: The graphics are pretty rough at the moment, some of the textures look awful. Hope they will improve this. |
