I think Everquest mas made way to early and spoiled me to much, on way to may good ways.
 Parties that lasted, people that gave a hoot, loyalty, trust, honor, just to mention a few things i liked.

What do we have now in MMO games?
None of the above and more.

And so many wonder why so many play solo. you put the word FREE and you get 100 x the liers, cheats,  hackers, thieves, 3ed party programmes and  botters in your face every time you log on to a game that is meant to be fund and relaxing.
 

Can you name one Game you have  played online in the past year that has had no Botter, hackers, cheaters,
3ed party programmes. Gold sellers.

I cannot even think of the cheesiest game that i have logged into that had none of the above.
MMORPG were once a fun place and now have become nothing more than a joke.

I think it was too love the game and game play just cant do with the graphics.

now i don't really bother with mmorpg they just don't cut it i looking for some thing better than everquest was but i don't think there is any one out there that can make one better.

All i can hope for is SOE to make a new everquest just the same as it was with modern day graphics.

This is old news bu they gave up on the EQ franchise and will not release a new game by that name, because it doesn't help them sell; if anything it has more negativity attached to it.

They 'll use the Ramanayan franchise for their next MMO. Don't be in a hurry tho, we don't even know if development has started...

I think that what you are describing happend in society as a whole and just reflects itself in the online games.

yeah, the days when 300k subs were huge are long gone now. everyone just copies wow and adds +1 feature that wow adds the next month so people just go back to wow.

and wow had all the 3rd person community jump onto it...a little immaturity but not TOO much...and then it got bigger and bigger and little counter-strike kids moved there...there you go the complete and utter PoS community of WoW

i believe darkfall is our only hope for a good mmo, not stupid linear nonsense like WoW and EQ2.
