Quote: I would also appreciate anyone reading to bump/quote it should you agree thankyou The OB is nothing but a complete shambles on the EU side. I paid £60 like many others and still have no access to OB. GOA have shown nothing but bad communication and incompetant performance. What makes this worse is their confidence, or should we say arrogance, that everything would be 'fine' by opening account code pages on the same day as OB. How wrong they were. The bad press, the mockery signatures, mockery youtube videos has reached a volume so high now that this will be noticable to people outside the WAR community and imo will be tarnishing Mythics reputation along with GOA's. This is not what I expect after months of assurances, this is not what I expect having paid the upper tier of cash for the collectors edition and this is not what I expect from Mythic....yes the buck stops with you and its time now for you to act on this. I speak for others that 'even' if this means waiting months...we would prefer you break your contract with GOA using the basis of incompetance and take the reigns yourself to steer this utter disaster/shambles in the right direction. There are now no ammount of excuses or apologies to rectify the mess GOA have created.
What we want are solid answers as to what GOA are doing? I hope for a reply from MJB or another member of Mythic simply because all faith and trust in GOA is lost from myself and most the EU. Thanks in advance. Your Faithfully 'A frustrated EU customer' Although I can play with my CE code since yesterday night (no, I still haven't got any confirmation email), I want answers for this too. And not some evasion, rather true words. |

Compensation for a beta????? Isnt this what betas are for? Relax and everything will be ok. Im sure you will be able to log in sometime today. |

i can't see this going anywhere until mythic addresses the goafail fiasco |

This is true... the whole thing has gone from being irritating to infuriating and now it's become a running joke. The only sad part is people have actually paid money to be a part of it. |

Betas are for deciding to buy or not to buy a game. From what most EU peeps have seen so far, it is clear no-no to buying if the publisher can't even fix such a small thing as account registration. Looks like support is going to be a player's nightmare. |

open beta is exactly as flammables said, perhaps a few year back it wasnt deemed that way but certainly every major MMO release in the last few years has used OB as nothing more than a marketing tool and a bit of a stress test.
they need to stop calling them beta's and follow aion eu lead and say they will have a preview week.
Op you got the link handy wouldnt mind throwing myself in on that discussion just cant find it. |

I paid to be in Beta, so for me it was not some kind of freebie for which I should be grateful. It was one of the reasons I bought the Collectors edition of the game..and took time off work to play. I agree with the OP whole-heartedly as I too am past being annoyed now as it's been almost 24 hrs with no email. Honestly..If I'm not in beta today then that's it for me..I quit |

ROFL We demand answers! We can't play for free! This is a complete outrage! I'm going to have to go out and BUY the game to play it. WHO'S EVER HEARD OF THAT!?
lol funny Europeans. |

No you didn't. You either paid for the game and this is a bonus that couldn't happen. Big deal. OR you're a moron and Ebayed a beta or something. Either way, just play the game when it comes out, yesh, relax. |

No, we have paid to play beta, as it was specifically stated as part of the 'pre-order package'. |

To the OP GOA doesn't have a good reputation, so I don't see why Mythic's reputation could be in danger. Things like charging 2 months in advance to people that were still using the 30 days free game time of Dark Age of Camelot are enough for me to look for a USA version if i decide to play Warhammer. LIke me, many other player aren't happy with the way the servers in Europe for DAoC were handled, so I think those that know GOA will be very forgiving to Mythic.

You're a ####. I wonder how you'd like it if the USA beta had no way to log on. |

That is how EAMythic sold so many units of Preorder game. Would you still buy the Preorder box if you knew that GOA weren't ready to take beta accounts from day one? Of course you wouldn't you would have to be an idiot. |

NOoooooo... You paid for the GAME, everyone else is a pre order BONUS. So you don't get it, or you get it late, big deal. Maybe they'll compensate you for it, who knows, but you paid for the GAME, the GAME, not the beta. |

I really wanted to try out warhammer after playing daoc. However after buying 2 copys from EA and not recieving anything for the 114.00 USD spent I decided they cant pay me to play it now.Canceled that charge and EA can suck up the loss.Ill just be playing wotlk when it comes out I guess and now have a reason to level all those epic'd out 70s to lvl 80. |

Im sorry but I think you are wrong. I paid paid for a pre-order box from HMV that doesn't contain the game at all. The only thing that this contained was codes for a 'guaranteed open beta access' (quote from the box) and the live game headstart and the bonus items. If I cannot get into the open beta then I have been mislead into buying a product so I deserve compensation. |

OBVIOUSLY some people REALLY don't know what beta's are. For your reference...The life cycle of software: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle |

What does "guarantee" mean: [noun] a written assurance that some product or service will be provided or will meet certain specifications Yes, they provided you a access to an open beta. Again it's a BETA. Hello. " Beta software can be unstable and could cause crashes or data loss." Ding Ding.

but I am the idiot that fell for the hype and didn't get to play (so far only three days of waiting). Most of the hastle caused which you hear about on forums like days off work or hours of sitting by the computer cannot really be accounted for and so will go unrecognised. Doesn't mean it didn't happen and it certainly doesn't allow people to forget what happened just because at some time in the near future they might get to play the game. Look fact is Europeans got shafted and want GOA out - doesn't matter what anyone says, they know they paid for a deal that they have been cheated out of not because of circumstances out of anyones control, but because GOA failed to initiate Open Beta on EAMythics terms - lol - the same company that gave NA a flawless launch. GOA will swear that they were ready for launch but how could they have been? How can one side of the world be a perfect launch and the other side of the world still be validating beta keys some three days later? The discrepancy is huge. Fine, if GOA had a massive server burn out and told the community everyone would be like 'fine there is nothing you could do in that situation' but so far all we have heard is that they didn't expect such difficulties with a launch this big - or words to that effect. It isn't good enough yet. |
