no, who picked, again, the brainless muppets of GOA to ruin the game in Europe? I think it was EA Mythic, even after what happened with DAOC, so they are guilty too... |

Originally posted by baron432 I`m going to tell you the same thing I was told when AoC came out from the europeans. Suck it up princess, it`s free beta. Haven`t you ever been part of a launch.
On another not I have been around for alot of launches, this is the best launch I have ever been in. Game is running great, I had a crash to desktop once and it`s because a GM kicked me to fix a bug (I think cause I reported it and 2 mins later boot). Anyway Game is very fun. Ya it`s the same feel as other games but it`s new. So far I`m loving it and I can say I`m glad theres finally some good PvP in the gaming world. Not counting older games that are dead now. You just wasted 5-10 seconds of your life reading this. |

It's a beta, but since it was sold to me as part of my preorder package, it's not free. It being beta means that it will have bugs, server crashes, etc. problems, I do understand that. But as it's also a service I already paid for, I have every right to except that GOA will be able to provide me some kind of access. So far it's no access and total failure to provide the service. Calling it a beta isn't any execuse for that. |

Originally posted by SgtFrog I beg to differ. We can't really enjoy the game unless we're provided the servers, account control, customer support, GMs, etc. by the game's publisher. Just try to disconnect yourself from internet and play the game then, you'll see what I mean. |

I voted average, fundamentally its an ok game but it bores me to tears. Glad people are enjoying it. But for me its the end of the road for MMOs for a long time to come, but there are many non-MMOs I'm looking forward to on the horizon. O_o o_O |

To all the people that would give it a bad review cuz they couldn't play, that is total bullshit.
"so open beta players. what do you think of war so far?"
That was the OP question. Hence the word players and if you didn't play it you cant answer the question correctly.
I understand it sucks that you didn't get to play, I feel for you guys, really. This game brings me back to old school memories, and I want others to have these experiences too. Seriously by far the best 7 hours of gaming Ive had in a long time. |

So your going to tell me you paid extra to get your pre order, cause I didn`t if you did you got ripped off. Pre orders are the same price here my friend. Sounds like your issue is with the retailer. And on another note I pre ordered my copy, didn`t get a key no extras, it`s still pre order so release day I get one guareenteed, hence the point of pre sale. I only got in cause MMORPG RULEZ the interwebs of gamzors. You just wasted 5-10 seconds of your life reading this. |

I feel dirty saying this but WoW crushes this game in most aspects. WoW PvE is harder, more interesting, more dynamic and far more enjoyable. WAR PvP is perpetual zerging and comes down to who has more healers/tanks. The game requires no skill, just a wee bit of understanding and you're a solid player. This is in contrast to WoW where it actually takes some competence to be a top level arena competitor (If you doubt it, go roll a character, win a tourny, and get 50 grand). Tippy top RvR is almost fun, but not even equal to the new Battlegrounds Blizzard is coming out with in their new expansion. Ever since I got my beta key several months ago, my opinion of the game has not really improved. It was boring, it is boring, and it will be boring. |

My thoughts so far? A big one is why did Funcom have to feck up so much, seriously if they just put out a more polished product it would wipe Warhammer. What I like about War. 1) The interface is fast and very easy to understand, good interface 2) Public quests are nice 3) So far it has very few bugs. What I dont like. 1) Combat...AoC has spoiled me, the melee and ranged combat is very average indeed, compared to AoC its substandard. 2) The graphics are dated. Dont care what anyone says, they simple are. 3) The animations for spells etc, and some aspects of melee, are pretty poor. 4) Character customization is ok, but nothing briliant, again AoC is better, not by much mind. They put out WoW with a Warhammer skin, im sure it will do ok, but i just wonder, in 6 months when Funcom have dx10 compatibility out, some new content, and hopefully most of the bugs fixed....what then? I will be interesting to see if people give it another whirl when they pump the videos.

I like the fact that it runs really well on my craptastic machine windows xp, 1.5gigs of ram, AMD Barton 2500+, ATI x1650 agp the witch hunter class has been a lot of fun. I like the mix gun/sword play so far I see how this will be a nice fun game come release I havent done RvR yet but thats cause time been limited just hoping to see how it is when i hit the open beta lvl cap and how couple other classes play to see if i wanna drop the 50bucks though my wife would let me because that means i wont be playing WoW which she despises |

Id have to say WoW is better too... "my fingers hurt and I got kinda nauseous when I typed that" But its true. Now WAR isnt even released yet. Its got tons of patches and new content ahead. It could very well blow me away this time next year. But for now... nope.

I see you've made lvl 40, considering that you know the whole game? /sarcasm off Lower lvls in any MMO, including WoW, don't require much skill at all. Why? Because starting areas are the begining of the game. They have tutorials and tips to help you learn the game. So, the difficulty setting is set to easy before lvl 10 or 20. To say that WoW crushes WAR, when you have only played WoW half way or completely through and not to lvl 10 in WAR, is rediculous. I voted on the poll, but I am not giving my opinion on WAR until I have played it till at least lvl 30. Although, my first impressions so far, are far greater than my first impressions on WoW 3 years ago and my first impressions on WoW were very very good. Sorry for the flame reply, but I am tired of people playing the first 5 - 10 lvls and then telling others that the game sucks. When everyone knows that MMO gameplay picks up sometime between lvl 15 and 20. And there is over 20 classes to choose from.
