so i waited all of f***ing yesterday in line at fileplanet to get the war beta. now when i try and open the zip file it says its corrupt, anyone one ewlse getting this problem that mmakes me want to kill myself?

please dont tell me that im the only person with this problem, or can you tell me a way to fix it without waiting 971 min in line to dowload a game that took 10 hrs to download last night

go download WinRar its free and should allow you to open the zip i had same problem

I went to work at 9AM this morning and started downloading.

I came back at 8:30 and I'm only at 37%.

  Mine was corrupted after it took all night Friday and in to Saturday morning. I even went and installed win rar and it didn't work, then I tried win zip, it was still corrupted. So I had to restart the instalation process around noon on Saturday. Here it is sunday night and I'm still only a third of the way in to the download. I don't know why it is taking so long. Hopefully by Friday it will be done downloading, just in time for the beta to end.

Make sure the file is around 9.5GB in size. If its not its probably an incomplete download. Ive seen some people mention today downloads from FP that were like 6GB in size and wondering why they wouldnt install right.

the one i downloaded was about 9.4

  The one I'm downloading is 9.34 GB, and after two days of downloading (for the second time) I'm currently at 3.72GB.

can someone coach me on how to use teh winrar program to get it to work?

I think it's very similar to WinZip.. Or at least the version I tried. Extract to.. select folder.. bam, it's done. Or do you have a more specific question .. ?

Got the game from Direct2Drive (so from fileplanet) and I got the same issue as you (I know the pain).. I'm redownloading the whole client.. Already written to support without very constructive answers...

Ho and by the way, they do not suggest the use of WinRAR since it would "have issues with files over 2gigs" or something like that.

I downloaded from D2D. When I logged into the patcher I got the message that I was missing several files and to re-install...

i would just get in line and wait but its like 970 mins for just the LINE not to mention when i first downloaded it took forever, so im trying some programs on the internet that say they fix zip, hope they work wthout infecting my comp :)

it will still say the zip file is corrupt after you run program but the files in the unzipped folder it creates should work, i have been able to get the client up and running but am waiting for the patch to go so i hope all of you will get yours to work with this program

My story,

I waited 100min to get the download, then it got DCed, I had to wait another 1k min.

I didnt want to wait, so I paid fileplanet 7dollars.  the download was smooth until 90percent done.

the fuxxing download manager started it all over!!!!!

It would not open for me even with WinRAR, but I went into the FilePlanet downloader and told THAT to open it and it worked just fine.

Redowloaded the client from Direct2Drive's download manager. Strangely enough there's no zip file anymore, so I ran setup, patched and the game works fine. Played for an hour but now I have to get ready for work.. Game look awesome though.

I too had the corrupt file message when trying to extract the zip file using Windows.  Like Kane in an earlier post, I then used the Fileplanet Download Manager routine to unzip the file and it worked fine.

Is there a way to use the download manager on the file that u already downloaded without the manager. Cause i downloaded the file without the manager and it wants me to download it again, so can i just open the file i have with the manager so i don't need to wait another few days?

Tried to d/l (DownLoad) the US OB (Open Beta) from fileplanet Thursday (it stoped at about 6.3GB... back to a 3 then 5 hr wait in que... then got no mirror avail, back to a 6 to 10 hr wait in que THIS HAPPENED THREE times, by sunday the ques [there are three d/l servers avail to 'non-subscribers'] were +20 hr waits, early this Monday AM got back into the actual d/l and within minutes got network error message and AGAIN for like the 8th time blocked from dl access... now the que is +30 HOURS !!! [and every time fileplanet uses the kick from que as an opportunity to dangle their us$40 to us$90 subscription plan/scam to avoid these ONGOING ques and d/l problems])

Reviewing the HUGE number of complaints, apparently the fileplanet d/l is encrypted
(to prevent people sharing the completed d/l and bypassing fileplanet's tedious d/l process)
such that the d/l has to be unlocked through the fileplanet d/l manager (again another chance to scam people to subscribe).

Could you give detailed steps how you used the fileplanet d/l manager to unlock their WO (Warhammer Online) zip file, and did it properly patch once you actually installed it, and thus get into the WO OB?

Not much detail to give.  Once the download finally completed in Download Manager,  I clicked on the play button for that file and it asked me where I wanted to unzip it to.   Once it was unzipped I clicked on setup.exe and it started the setup and the patching process.
