A large hurricane is estimated to head right for Florida. Its passed/passing over the Carribean and causing a lot of destruction.

  I know, im not trying to really nag at you, im just saying that theres the possiblity someone could have just woke up or something and had not the slightest idea about it. I mean i was working at a town faire untill 5 o clock and got home to read the yahoo news saying a giant hurricane is headed for Florida.

Never know though.

like he said, if he helps alert 1 of 100,000 people who may read this forum then it is worth it, also better safe than sorry.

Believe it or not, there are some super geeks out there who will literally sit in their computer chair in a basement, roll over and fall asleep on a couch or bed, then wake up and get right back to it.  While unlikely, it is possible for someone in the effected areas to be completely oblivious to major news like this.

Common sense voids your logic I'm afraid. Posting a thread to warn those of a hurricane on a online game forums doesn't do anything. People living in these areas will get the information sooner or later, not one single person who is capable of walking, talking and reading will miss this storm information. I live in Florida and I can tell you no matter where you go if a Hurricane is bearing down on a specific area people all talk about it and the news is everywhere.

You would have to be pretty much a vegetable in order to not know. This isn't a flame toward you but a reply to your logic from a person whos been and lived through many hurricanes.
