I've been sticking to the EU beta because I didn't want to wait in a 12 hour queue on fileplanet... but as you all know that was a huge mistake.  Are the US beta testers running into any roadblocks to the likes we have been experiencing?

I've been stuck in a download que. however I have been reading left and right about a lot of crashes and freezes. Many glitches, however it might because their only "testing" the servers.

I've only crashed once and i've been playing for about 6 hours straight, no queues, no bugs to mention of really.

No trouble here. However, this game is not for me. Not a fan of the graphics style nor the gameplay. Some interesting twist for those who care. So, I'm back to waiting again.. :(

Other than some bugs and glitches....no other issues, havent crashed or been dropped at all.

And this is with the servers being completely full.

Well that's awesome over 1000 hour queues on Fileplanet for the US client.... and the torrent file is slow as !@#$ of course.  Isn't anyone hosting a download file on another website?

I have had 2 crashes since friday.  None today.  Its still has some bugs.  The graphics are a step below AoC its still good.  Gameplay is stellar except for the last 4 hours there has been any lag or queres.  :)  I logged back in and had to wait.  I can see the lag due to so many people playing.

Just waiting in queues.

chek isohunt or mininova. there torrent for us beta the total dll time was like 8 or 9 hours. its a 9 gig file then all u gotta do is patch., i was running at 400+kbs vs 20 or so like most are saying. and im seeding

Many many many steps, the graphics don't compare at all from a technical stand point.

Yay for being a fileplanet subscriber =)

Good here,  love the public quests havent done any RvR yet but I have only played 4 hours so far.   A few bugs that you can't attack a target or target is dead. But other than that no crashes.

Many many many steps, the graphics don't compare at all from a technical stand point.

Its still better then everything except AoC.

The Can't attack target seems to happen when you attack from range.  Thats the only times I really see it.   I have only recently seent the target is dead.  I think its due to the high number of people in one area.

other than a really bad memory leak, i havent have any problems playing.

For the most part, it is an open beta. It is still a beta so that means it isn't perfect and still has some bugs and issues. But for the most part, it is a very solid beta. It is much better than some I have been in and slightly worse than some others (not going to name names to avoid the rabid troll/fanboi comments). Just to note some of the issues:

1. Target not attackable bug.  - I believe it has something to do with spawning or pathing but it is workable; just wait for it to be attackable or try and move the target around. Not a gamebreaker at all, more annoying than anything.

2. Over-crowded zones - Some zones are very over-crowded. Some PQ's that I did in the preview weekend took a long time, now take a much shorter time. Not an issue really and to be expected with an OB and launch. Overcrowding is not felt painfully like it was for me at the WOW or BC launches.

3. A bug here or there. I found a quest that didn't work so I /bug'ed it.

So far it is very stable for me. I played for almost 8 hours today off and on (the majority of that was in RVR on the Tyrion server) and didn't crash once. I know people are having crashing issues but my speculation is that its something that isn't getting along with WAR that is common to those players (Nvidia driver, Vista, ATI, etc...).

The game doesn't run as smooth as I want it too and I mainly have issues with the PQ areas and RVR areas (open world). Its not bad at all but it is a slow down.

I do love the game though. RVR is fantastic. it is not PVP - it is designed to be strategic and tactical. Well played, thought-out and reasoned RVR can beat the zerg any day.

My advice to anyone playing it/trying it in open beta is this: Your experience in WAR is greatly shaped by your class choice. I started out in the class I thought would be for me and hated it. I then switched to another class and loved it. So TRY the classes. Find the one that is for you. Everything is wiped anyway so it doesn't matter. My advice is try any class you think you might like and play it to around level 5 (I believe that level 5 is a good level to gauge if you will like the class or not).

Second, save something for launch!!! Don't try and level all the way and be the big man on the block now. it doesn't matter in a few days. leave yourself stuff to discover and experience at launch.

That is my advice - take it or leave it; just thought I would share.

Game runs smooth as silk on my pc, been having a blast all weekend. Had a little lag tonight from so many people playing.

3 days ddling at 45kb/s, today it crashed and now in a 12hs que.
