If you have to remove the game 3 times (uninstall, format, ect) then you have to buy another copy, also if you upgrade or change parts in your system you might have to buy another copy.

This is on the PC version of MassEffect too and most up coming EA games on PC. EA seems to believe that anyone that plays PC games is a pirate.

It's a real shame because SPORE is a fantastic game.

it does work i got mine there , just dont login to online and setup your account from the inernet settings in options and viola..thas how it worked

Completely true, EA won't think about that though, when their sales start getting lower they'll blame pirates again and enforce a stricter DRM ect on us. It's the honest paying customer like you and me that get messed around and the pirates get the game problem free.

In a few hours the GOA team members will be leaving for home to start the same again tomorrow morning at 8.30 working regulations or something like that prevents them from working

Oh well looks like a lot of us won't be playing WAR for a while then.

Thats correct however companies like Stardock have proved you can have great selling games (Sins of a Solar Empire, Galactic Civ 1 and 2) without anti piracy software such as DRMs. EA are just digging themselves a hole...

what a load of twaddle I used to pull 13 hr shifts on a Sunday for BT because it was quadruple time screw working regs.

france = not allowed to work overtime

GOA have constantly quoted "french labour laws" as an excuse from providing weekend/evening service.

Blizzard EU is also situated in France and yet they don't seem to have any problems with their 24/7 cover.

The only think I can think of is that GOA is a state owned company and so the workers there will strike at the drop of a hat and GOA doesn't really want to run a 3/4 shift system for the server farms.

Single player games get passed quick. MMO's tend to "last". Example is Assassin's Creed which got finished in less then day...  And if i need real PK fun, old mud Act Of War works perfect.

So I figured I'd throw in a comment....

First, if you don't get a verification image. Wait a while, the page seems to load the image asynchronously (i.e. it loads the image in the background while you fill out the form). Since the servers hosting those images are probably getting hammered with requests it take a while (...long while maybe :) ) for them to respond.

Secondly, switching browsers will probably not help you get through faster. Clearing your cache would have the same impact...

Third, I wish they didn't use Flash...

i actually expected to at least get registered and perhaps get to char creation before we crashed the actual game server not to fight against a shitty registration server all day :)
