Patch Error: Your Warhammer folder is missing a larger number of files. Reinstall the game from the supplied media.

I got my version from fileplanet: Does anybody else have this problem, or am I going to have to download the whole thing again?

This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.

I get that exact same error.  I got my folder from direct2buy.  Perhaps something is screwy with the downloaded versions?

Anyone else getting this?

How far did you get into patching before this happened?

I turned on the "Perform full file check" option before starting to patch and haven't had any problems so far...you might want to try that.

I've tried reinstalling from the Setup but that doesn't seem to do anything useful.  Nor does the Perform Full File Check option.

I got mine from Fileplanet too and am at 88% patched... now I'm just hoping it doesn't bomb at 100%

For me it doesn't get past the Determining Patch Set step.

Very odd indeed, got my client from the same place as the rest of you didn't have that problem. If you got your's through d2d the DL comes from Fileplanet.

Did you who are having problems use the File Planet download manager?

Just wondering if there's any common denominator - for the record I used the DL manager and so far so good (95% patched).

In the interest of pin pointing the issue, I'll second that DL manager used here as well.

I've started downloading the beta client (AGAIN). I downloaded mine first on the 28th of August, so I'm thinking that my version is outdated...

The old file was called: WarhammerOnline_Beta_Encr

The one I am now downloading *sigh*: WarhammerOnline_Beta_FP

I'm having the same problem and got mine from fileplanet as well with the download manager. I'm assuming there was an error downloading and we'll have to re-download it all

What is the size of the zip file from fileplanet.  It should be 9,794,261KB in size.  And the Warhammer Online Beta_FP directory is 9.35GB in size with 5 subdirectories.

I got mine just from using Firefox to download it.  I didn't use their download manager.

Once I got the zip file I extracted it all to another folder, ran the setup, got an error about DirectX (and so had to get a microsoft patch for that).

Ran the setup again and got Warhammer Beta shortcut on the desktop, which just featured a simplistic login menu that would always fail to authenticate.

Last night the simplified login menu was changed to a more elaborate one (but still authentication would fail).

Within the past hour login would work, but the Patch Set error would pop up.

Does this experience jive with anyone else?

Must be the case, I feel for you guys. On the upside maybe you'll get lucky and not run into to much traffic at this point, avoiding a repeat of this.

I think and hope you meant "knock on wood" rather than "touch wood" -- which has a completely different meaning.

5 subdirs, but only 5.86 gigs.. guess it makes sense now.

Wait so you just ran the setup.exe?

Do we need to run warpatch.exe?

Or should i just redownload?

Did you get this client when OB keys went out , or was it a few days before? Check if it's a different file you're Dl'ing now.

For me the zip file was 9.33 GB (10,029,322,375 bytes) in size.

I don't have a Warhammer Online Beta_FP directory (did you name that yourself or was that somehow automatic for you?), but the folder after extracting and installing is 25.1 GB (26,964,374,698 bytes).
