I personally think they are a little over powered them good ol healers, i was having a 1 on 1 with a healer 4 lvl's below me ( Chosen Magus) and i was absolutely raped by the lower lvl i had not even got there health below 1/4 and i had my minion out and was pumping them skills like never b4 but was absolutely owned as much as it was embarrasing it was making me think what chance do i have in the Battlefield honestly if i cant beat a char 4 lvl's below me than what chance do i have at facing off against some 1 my own lvl and no im not a crap player not the best but i know how to handle my class and it was a lil rediculous how easy this person beat me. i know that can heal them selves which helps but surely i should have taken them down a few more notches. |

I am sure that was Skill, not because healing is OP as some would say. |

read the patch notes from 9/2 before the preview weekend and servers were put up...they told you everything they did to balance the professions before the servers went live |

ya it takes good burst or more then 2 people to kill the healy healers, even the war priests can be pains when played right to bring down, and then theres when some tank hits them with the buff where he takes 50% of the dmg they would have taken but vs his ac and 20% block chance with shield so the healer tanks like a dam tank and still has full healage |

How was he 4 levels below you? I noticed that in RvR combat you're pushed up to almost top level for that area. For example, in the 1-10 combat areas if you go in as 3, you're bumped up to 8. I was under the impression this was the standard. //|//|// |

Your base health, defense, and skill effects (healing/damage) are buffed. Your equipment and available skills remain at your real level. The equipment difference and 1 extra ability probably wouldn't be that big of a change in this situation, though. If you are really level 4, even though you are buffed to 8, people still see your level as 4. So most likely one guy was 11 and the other one was 7 (buffed to 8). Edit: Also this only happens in RvR designated areas or scenarios. You can still RvR in the PvE areas of the world of you flag yourself, or enter the enemies PvE area but you don't get the level buff. Bioware did not make Knights of the old Republic 2. |

i fought a chaos as my runepriest who was 4 levels above me and beat him.... i wonder what are the odds that you were fighting me? you get beat by a healer that is lower than you, its skill not "uber overpoweredness" the fight i was in took me almost 5 minutes to win. I played for a long fight, he played for a quick kill... defense won out over offense. If i had gone in trying to nuke him into the ground i woulda lost in 30 sec, if he would have played to disrupt spells.... you know.. which is the seccondary role of the class you rolled by the way but i am going to guess you did not spec that way... any spell disrupt while i was at 50% life followed by a stun or knockdown or a morale ability would have finished me. its a tactical mmorpg gentlemen. you need to play smart and think ahead. its like playing chess not checkers.

"ZOMG I SAw A RUNEPRIZT TANK 532059430 people.. NURF DEM NOW!!!1one1"
one of the largest misconceptions of this game is appearance vs actual game mechanics. you can give your chosen black hair or uber tattoos all you want. dispite it looking like an uber offensive tank it is still a hybrid. with an insta HoT, Shield and the heal+hot spell all I have to do is detaunt the person dealing the most damage (usually that would be a REAL tank which would be the blackorc) and I only stop moving to recast my heal+hot. see now the reason you never see zealots doing the exact same tanking... is because when you see two tanks on a zealot... those are actual real tanks and not hybrids. swordmasters hit very hard.
ill put it in wow terms. your chaos chosen is like a wrath paladin complaining he cant kill a disc?holy priest. while the swordmaster is like an arms warrior chopping up a holy priest. my priest in wow has survived many as 5 paladins pounding on me trying to get the flag... hybrids arent supposed to be damage dealing machines and sure enough are not supposed to outdamage a target being healed. |

DPS went up for a few classes. I'm pretty sure healing didn't get any nerf, though I did feel like it needed to be toned down. |

I know that the class is a healer, that is what I would like to play and why I decided upon it from the runepriest. The problem is that finishing the very first quest is extraordinarily tedious and for no good reason. I'm not going to stick around for another 5 minutes trying to kill the second fairy, when I can hop onto any other class and start playing the game immediately. ___________________ http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/12/13/ |

"For the guy complaining about the Archmage, it's my main and will be in release. It's a fun class, just don't play it expecting to DPS. It's a healer. All those shamans you see will figure that out soon enough as well."
I will be playing a shaman, I do not care I am called a healer. I can play that role. But Healers need enough DPS; to quest, to pvp, etc. Even if its 1 vs 1 battle, healers need enough DPS to at least have a chance to kill the other player. |
