Unfortunatly, my parents and alot of people out there arent exactly...ok with giving out there credit card number to companies, even highly reguarded companies Suggestion: Altternative pay options like paypal, Pay-by-phone, or even cards that you could buy at shops like wallmart (cards would also give the advantage of advertising) thanks for reading this post, post any suggestions, as i would also like to hear them Thanks ~Luckypotato

I would agree with you. I personally dont like giving out any personal info and like to keep it private if possible - so game cards, pay by money order/check, paypal... all those options should be included as payment possibilities. |

I hope there will be alternatives. I dont have Visa/Mastercard and banking transactions are not allways supported in my country (for WoW 1 year after release, for AoC not at all yet). Gaming cards would be nice. |

Don't forget that the game will be released only in Europe at the beginning so if you want an alternative pay option and you are american you can already forget it.
Well I hope there will be these alternative ways. |

Don''t hate the player, Hate the game. |
Pay by phone is just retarded if you ask me. Adventurine is a tiny company, and doesn't have near the resources to have operators sitting by phone to wait for the 12 year olds parents to call. Now game cards on the other hand, i think are a great idea for any MMO. It's great for advertising like you say, and in my opinion the best and most realistic form of alternative payment. |

"pay by phone" is also an option that is used in Japan where the phone company basically becomes a credit card and the charge gets added to your bill. I never used this option, but I'm sure it's similar to what American Express had for some time where you couldn't really carry a balance forward. I don't know of any U.S. phone companies that would allow this option, but they could charge interest on this and who knows, maybe it would even be profitable for them. |

Right, tygreen101, I forgot to mention that with "Pay by phone" I actually mean "paying without a credit card". You call a number and the cost gets charged to your monthly phone bill. daopay also handles such payments for customers and merchants the U.S.
