"If you''re not for yourself, who will be? If you''re always for yourself, who are you?"

If it was CE you cancelled you should have bought and sold could have possibly made some profit.

I hope the people that play it do enjoy it, but after the preview weekend (along with the above-mentioned reasons) this game just wasn't for me.  Questing seemed too linear to the point where after I finished quests in a tier I felt like I would never ever return to that tier for anything (just like a 'level' or 'stage' in some console game).  Also, the end-game seems like it will be lacking (not in content, but in mechanics).  The point of the game is to beat the other realm by going through a series of pvp tiers, but after you win it just resets.  If your side loses, you haven't really lost anything, and if your side wins, maybe you got a couple cool items.  Anyway, the point of this post, I guess, is that for people who were on the fence about this game, there are other options on the horizon.

Do you think a post like this really merits it's own post?

Honestly, don't waste our time making us read this when you were never interested enough in playing in the first place.

If you''re going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you''re going to be locked up.

Is it an amazing coincidence how most people who are posting crap like this are BIG fans of Darkfall and AoC?? Or am I just seeing things??

Not every game is for every person, have with with Ryzom and Fallout 3 and TCoS.  And perahps Darkfall.
The tier aspect to this game and many other aspect makes it feel more boardgameish then virtual worldish.  But that's what I love about it, being a huge boardgamer myself.  But I can see this not being for everyone.

There is a big Darkfall revival going on right now.  There is a new announcement of a beta.  And Wikipedia no longer has the Vaporware rumor section for this game.

In the general forums here, there is actually a serious debate about Darkfall vs WAR.  And most people in that thread say Darkfall is better. Not could be better if it existed, but IS better. Really tells you something about people on this forum.

I don't think linear is the right term.  But certainly it is tiered.  No seems of feels about it.  Mythic has made it quite plain the game is teired.

The reason you were on the fence, is because you want some kind of "sandbox" game.  As evidenced by you liking Ryzom.

I dunno I don't think you were really on the fence.  Seems like wishful thinking to me.  Mythic has made it pretty clear they are not making a world simulation game like Eve or Ryzom.

I don't think WAR was ever a real option for you.

And that right there boys and girls is why this game want be as successful as you or Mythic thinks...

I like Mythic and I am not trolling.  Mark my words though, this game isn't going to offer enough different from what people are already playing to stick around.  The RvR is not going to be different enough to make the game stand out.  Yea, it will probably be better PvP than most games; but it want be enough by itself.
