I have noticed a lot of people think that the graphics of DF is a bit under par. Personally im glad that all new games dont push the envelope on the graphics. I cant afford to buy a new rig each time I want to try a new game. Also I think its wise of the developers to do this. A lot more potential players when system reqs. isnt way to high for the casual gamers. More developers should put more effort into game mechanics, content and inovation. Hauken Stormchaser |

Aye totally agree with you. One reason for WoW success is the low barrier of entering it. You dont need the latest computer to play a game like Darkfall. Have a nice one Aragon - Member of B@D guild |

Gameplay over graphics everyday of the week. Graphics are just eye candy, they will not keep you playing a shitty game, IE AOC. The animations are a little rough but its beta and that can and I am sure will be fixed and if not, fuck it, the gameplay looks amazing. Sooner or Later |
I was gonna say that. If all the gameplay is the real thing (and not typical MMO pre-release hype), I can deal with the mediocre graphics. But the animations are a little jarring. ____________________________________________ |

Yea I have no problem admitting that the animations are not that great and I am a huge Darkfall fan. But its still beta and that can get fixed. I have no reason to believe that the Developers will not fix them, they have done a great job so far. Sooner or Later |

I'll wait and see .... but truth be told the video was exactly what I expected from a small developer. Mediocre graphics on top of excellent gameplay. There are a number of items I found distressing about the video, and a number of things I felt were absolutely fantastic ideas. I'll tell you that the graphics weren't part of it. As I said its exactly what I expected. Funny though, they said they might take the combat ideas from M&B but the graphics are pretty straight on with it too. It kind of looks like an advanced version of M&B online. |

These graphics look nothing like the one video they had posted about a month or two ago. The character running through shadows and such. Seems to me they didn't put the graphics like the last video in these new ones. Either way, Im in it for the game play. Heck, I still love the UO graphics (2d). |

Yep, agree with you totally about graphics. part of the reason WOW is so popular because you can play it on anything (at least that is the only reason i can come up with cos the gameplay never did it for me). darkfall community seem pretty on to it, hope the game delivers |

I wanted to post how Darkfall graphic remind me of "Severance Blade of Darkness" , game that was awerage looking even in year 2000 when it was released. But i watched video of the same game and realized i would be lying. Blade of darkness , released year 2000 looks much better than current footage of Darkfall !
Actually Darkfall graphic could only be compared to maybe EQ1 or Asheron's Call with added DX9 shaders.
But... alas Graphic does not make a game. Gameplay does. There is 100000000000:1 chance that miniature team of unexperienced coders from Greece , could start coding a game in time when Windows 95 was this a hot operating system and finish it 10 years later , using budget other companies use to buy coffee machine for its workers, could actually pull of a miracle and make a game that is more or less equivalent to Shadowbane. So there is a chance.
Just a small tip for you. When a game is good. Developers usually manage to find a game publisher. And do not have to be published by company that actually does what ? Prints music CDs for Greek music shops ?

As long as the graphics looks decent I will be happy. It surpasses my standards in this regard. I prefer good solid gameplay over flashy graphics. We have seen flashy graphics and the game still has no substance
I choose substance and great gameplay. I put my money where my mouth is sometimes too. I still play older games all the time and have a blast.

You took the best screenshot of Darkfall and worst screenshot of Blade of darkness. And even than DF wins only because it uses DX9 shaders instead ... DX3 ... Wow! 8 years ! And we have to discuss if 8 years old game had better graphic Sad.....

Your the one that said it I was just letting other people decide... Edit: Blade of Darkness used DX8. Infact DX3 was used in Windows NT and 95... You'll prolly say it was an exaggeration but I just want to make sure you know |
