Is it just me, or why do I see in most videos Order pwns Destruction? Is that in beta the same, or is it a mere coincidence?

Cherry pick a section of one of the videos and critique it, brilliant. By the way, it was a human player who ran to the guards when he was going to die. So you didn't even watch the videos, just knee-jerk response to a game you illogically hate.

i watched it again...and yes there was a thunderclap in there. it even had a similiar effect, a slow / root type of debuff on it. It also had the same sound effect as a warrior's thunderclap in wow.

I hate some things about wow but overall I dont hate the game. I played it for 2-2.5 yrs on and off.

And no Im no fan of age of conan, I lasted 5 days in that awful game.

Your attack and assumptions about me are wrong. I dont have to be a fan of aoc to dislike what I saw in that video.  I dont have to hate wow to hate warhammer as well.

You obviously hate WoW. Go back and read your post.

Choose your favorite type class and watch some videos of them. I think you are missing out by being so firm in your opinion even before launch.

EDIT: I shouldn't have been so harsh in my other post. I'm no fanboy of WAR, but i've seen enough MMOs to value a company that delivers a quality product. Mythic is aces so far in my book.

From my experience the win ratio is about 60-40% in favor of Destruction most of the time.

In the Beta there was a 1/3 to 1/2 + to the Destruction population over Order at all times. (I'll play Order, myself.)

WoW graphics have something to them but they are far more 'cartoon' than WAR. That's how they were designed. Also, WoW has been polished as much as possible over the past 5 years or so. WAR isn't released yet. If you want to make a connection between the two and not play based on that alone, your loss IMO.

The video of the IB in the OP was one versus one and probably staged for the purpose of the video. You should expect a Heavy Tank to be able to take a DPS down. A Mage in robes who has the skill cool down, and GCD, relatively low HP. A Heavy Tank who has the same cool down limitations but also has a 'buildup' effect, very high armor and a massive numbers for HP. He grudges up with every hit making all of his one off hits, DoTs more effective. At point blank range and at the same level? Of course he'll win.

I loved playing the IB. Made for a great front like tank (of course) but also for a great PvE general DO-IT-ALL char. I am curious about the heal rates once retail goes live. I think the heal rates of the Beta were greatly increased though I have no idea what percentage?

Hmm an IB( Shield/W) that can take out allmost anyone and np 1 vs 2. And the there is the Chosen (Shield/W) and he get killd by allmost any one , and he cant never stand 1 vs 2.

I agree when you say its the same. But in my opinion Mythic is doing what Blizzard should have done with the genre. That is RvR, capturable cities and (unique looking) yet the same base classes. How cool would it have been to play as a Troll headhunter or an Undead Necromancer. The only unique classes in WoW were paladin and shaman and look how blizzard handled that. The only thing i dont like is the 2 faction setup. I would have preferred each race/species to have been on there own and alliances the result of player actions. So if you changed servers you might have had totally different battlefronts. *Crosses fingers for expansion pack* 

Warhammer is what World of Warcraft should have been. It is v2.0.

Uhh... what?

I take it you have never leveled a Chosen from 1-40.  Just because it is a more complex class does not mean it's underpowered.  In-fact, I would say that a Chosen being played by someone who actually knows how to play the class will outlast an IB any day.

If Chosen doesn't aura twist, they are only gimping their effectivness.

Well maby im wroung, but there has never been a video out there or any information, what show or tells, what a chosen at all can do what a IB or a WP can do.

And the Chosen are the only class from the dark side that are comperet to this 2 classes. so

damm nice video. and it shows how usefull a denfensive tank class can be - in rvr and pve. i dont see many reasons not to lvl as defensive, if you want to be a tank class ;)

There really is only 1 scenario that I could see where being speced in damage would be better than defense.  That would be if you have a static group & there is already a main tank leading the group.  And, in that case, why are you playing a tank class anyway?

In every other situation, always using sword + board and having a defensive heavy spec is a much better idea.

This goes for all 4 tank classes.

Just FYI, I am going to be an IB in release & will most likely be speced 100% in defense.  (Unless there's some kind of arbitrary cap on my defensive prowess that would  make it more effective to spec in some other way)

The commentary is excellent by Brent, he did an amazing job IMO. I was iffy about WAR really, still plan on waiting.. but i sat through all the Black Orc videos and was thrilled by the RvR stuff, especially since he narrates so well what's going on.

Say what you will, these videos convinced me.

You have'nt watch the video properly, that so call first mob is a player, they are doing PvP, So I expect it takes a little more time to kil than a regular mob.

Haha, that Marauder was a noob. It was funny he kept coming back for more though.

Was funny when he kept having people come after him after he killed them, seeking revenge. Some got it, some paid the price again. I just looks like real fun to me. I will most definately buy the game, still going to wait a little bit to see what the release opinion appears to be.

Yeah. I started watching Brent's videos after I found them basically just through Googling, a couple of weeks ago. At that time, I wasnt completely sure if I wanted to preorder War or not, but after downloading all of them and watching them, I did preorder the game.

One of my favorite videos that shows something I haven't really ever seen in an MMO was the Bright Wizard UI one, where he has his little noob Bright Wizard, and uses the UI customization, where you can use pre-set bars, or go into the Layout Editor where you can move everything around and stuff, that seems so great to me. Less need for mods.

You know, I bought World of Warcraft when it came out, and I played it off and on over the years, and I've seen videos and screenshots of War, and I've looked on wardb.com and browsed around. In no way whatsoever do I find World of Warcraft to seem superior to this game, or this game to be a copy.  For those of you who sit there and say that, you're clearly retarded. You have no grasp on the fact that any fantasy genre game is going to have Elves and Dwarves. You're sitting there with 400 year old computers that run WoW on crappy settings, and just hoping that War doesnt outdo WoW, just so you won't have to get up from playing WoW in your mother's basement, take a shower, get a job, and build a new computer so you can play the better of the two games with the sane people from your guild who go to it after it comes out.

Get your facts straight:

The Chosen is not the only class that is comparable to an Iron Breaker, ever heard of the Black Orc.

Also, the Warrior Priest's counterpart is the Disciple of Khaine.

Oh, and the Dark Side is called Destruction, and it's not really "dark" or "evil" it's twisted like "Custard falling from the sky twisted".
