My only fear about the new expansion is that they are only releasing 1 hero class. 1 class that is better than all the other classes and will be intentionally overpowered due to being the first and only tier 2 class.

See where I am heading? I am horrified that we may see no hunters, mages, warlocks, shamans, warriors, paladins, clerics. We may only see deathknights everywhere.... Millions and millions of deathknights.

pvp = 20 death knights vs 20 deathknights.

or. LFM newest instance!!

I will join... lvl X deathknight
I will join... lvl X deathknight
I will join... lvl X deathknight
I will join... lvl X deathknight
I will join... lvl X deathknight
I  will join... lvl X deathknight

..... Any healers left in this game?

:/ This is what I am afraid of.

The problem as i see it right now with comparing anything from WAR with WoW is that even the people that have played WAR have only seen a limited amount of it. My worry about the game as i see the way it progresses is that there is only going to be so many times that you can take the same objective before it gets boring?? This is the same critisism that is levelled at WoW PvP, but from what i see at the moment, WAR has based it's whole game along this premise, just on a grander scale. Before everyone screams at me, i know it is a massive over simplification, but at the end of the day it is a case of Take objective - move to next objective - take main objective - rinse and repeat! How many times will you be able to do it?

It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.

Lol :D I dont know. My guild raids the same instance week after week year after year.. I get kind of bored of it but that is what a MMO is... If its doing the same thing in PVP or in PVE it doesnt matter.

I took 3 months grinding the same mod day after day to get my purple tiger mount. :P

Dont get me wrong I hope WAR fails so bliz doesnt drop players ( Like AOC and vanguard failed ) but I have to be fair here.

PS I am still afraid we will only see 9 million deathknights out there and the extinction of the other classes

I can say, that as an elder beta tester, the tier 4 content and zones are far from boring.  I can't give perticulars but it's as entertaining as tier 1 was.   As for the "take the objective, rinse repeat" what else is there?  Wars are fought over objectives, this hill, that city, some road, it's a fact of warfare and the games are just mirroring that.  I could be worse... the end game could be kill a bunch of tanknspank trash the a scripted boss, rinse repeat....  Oh wait there's X other games that do that same thing.

I think it is better than BC, and a nice content upgrade.  It is definitely shaping up to be a nice XPAC for WoW if you like the way they reset the game with their XPacs.

I get so tired of people being crybabys about stuff they don't even know about.  If you don't like WoW then fine, don't play it.  But you are complaining about an expansion that isn't even out yet so how do you know if the new content is fun or not?  Even if you're in the beta i doubt that you've seen everything in the expansion so far and you make it sound like there's no new content hardly which if you've even glanced at the expansion website you'd see what all they are adding.

And as far as complaining about the $40 every couple of years for an expansion, try playing some of the games out there that release expansions every 6 months but with 1/4 of the content as a wow expansion and pay $40 for each of those, and on top of that pay $5-10 for every single "adventure pack" which blizzard gives you for free as content patches.  Wow has added more in content patches than most games offer in 2-3 expansions and they did it for free.  Add on the fact that the game runs better than anyother game out there and has a huge amount of content and you wow hating crybabys just don't have much room to talk anymore.  I've played several of the premium games on the market and by far WoW is the best balanced mmo out there.  If you find something you like better, power to you, but ffs quit acting like the only two things you know how to do in life is bash wow, and make yourself look like an @$$ling.

The suspense is terrible. I hope it will last.

In view of what you get in WAR I would call the open world Siege system of WotLK even ... too much...

Non instanced meaning 200vs200 or more in a central positioned play of the world. Impossible in those other so called PvP games.

yep, Blizz you did it again: two steps ahead of the competition in about all aspects.

WAR doesn't even have a n Auction House: complete laugh - even 2 weeks before going LIVE they don't even have it in. Well I suppose the economy doesn't even need to be tested. it will ALL work, no fear.

One big patch and BAM it will all be there in our next Wow killer. The 7th (or is it the 8th?) in a row.

Just waiting till the launch of WotLK, God ... it'll feel so good looking at all those losers crawling back before the shop's door at midnight.

Just like last tuesday when 3 of them crawled back into my shop to get a Wow's sub card after the Conan desertion.

Ohhhh How it's so good to be part of the King.

Your forgetting that WAR is a PvP / RvR centric game and not PvE like WoW's formula. There are AH in place, player banks and mailboxes as well. The AH will come into use for them crafters that make potions and peeps that find drops that cant use.

The game (WAR) lacks Weapon and Armor crafting at this point, but honestly, how many people in WoW use crafted weapons and armor at level 70 made from the WoW player base. Its all about drops in WoW and what you raid for in instances.

Star Wars Galaxies had the BEST crafting system in its prime, its a damn shame no other mmorpg can duplicate its crafting system.

I definetly love WoW for its PvE content, however I was very disappointed in the BC expansion. To this day, I still can't figure out why Blizz gave up on the old world, some of my best encoounters and raids were from the old world. ZG, AQ, MC, hell I even missed the Onyxia encouters.

Blizzard has made there money from it subscribers already and are set for life, so why should they go the extra mile now? They really dont have to work there ass off anymore, they got 80% of the mmo subscribers.

Maybe with WAR coming it, Blizz will finally start listening to its current customer base and release expansions with more content, then the little that they are given us after 4 years.

I am looking forward to playing the new expansion, but keeping my expectations very low.

Waiting for Earthrise, Stargate Worlds, Fallen Earth, Mortal Online, Darkfall and WAR 40K Online.

First off, competition is always good in any given system.  I hope both games continue to thrive and compete vs each other for subs.

As for the content getting boring, well it's up to devs to continually add new content to keeps subs.  With WoW at their heels coming up with new stuff and vice versa, it will only be good for gamers who will experience better content faster hopefully.

What I don't like about WoW PvP is the lack of world PvP, the fact that everything is instanced, item centric and there are only 4 BGs and arenas for endgame PvP.  It's obvious they are trying to fix that, so good for them if they succeed.  I don't see how they are going to get away from their grinding, item/PvE centricity and make it into objectives that matters.  It's going to be hard.

From what little I've experienced of WAR PvP, it's a ton of fun and already strides ahead of current WoW PvP due to the presence of world PvP and the fact that you can get into a ton of scenarios right off the bat.  That and the fact that you can level in PvP very efficiently.  No more boring AI grindfest ftw.

For a new game which is not even launched yet  to be able to match 4 years of PvP content of WoW and have more to offer, shows how much WoW PvP needs to improve.
