There is nothing like a trail of blood to find your way back home.

Im on a 6 month vacation in europe. I would like to put LOTRO on this pc but I didnt bring my cd's with me. I cant download the trail. If I go out and buy a copy of it is there a way to edit a file and be able to connect to US servers?

Euro client is sadly bit different beast with billing, localisation etc. Your best bet would be ordering US version from any net store from US doing overseas shipping (or ask someone you know to buy it locally and ship it to you).

Od course, you could join euro community for the duration of your stay.

Playing: LotRO, Vanguard
Played: UO, DaoC, Horizons, Ryzom, WAR

im assuming there nothing of this sort is there? http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/160018 ? where I can download a bunch of .cabs?

Joining the EU community wouldnt be bad, except I would hate to relevel after I get home. I would love to get as much of the current LOTRO content as possible before the xpack. since when the xpack comes out I will still be in europe for another good 2 months.

You need to download the US trial, that's the only way I see.

With a retail key it should function just as a normal installation.

If silence is golden, then you must be really poor. ~Lazer7

I know several people that play in on the US server that live in England. They have no issues at all with their connection within the game.

LOTRO has a fix for the 'no disc' issue.
