all i know is that everyone that came at me bunny hopping and circle straffing died. a couple times 2v1. i think maybe the some of the WoW players are not adapting very well. in they will though, and there will be no visible difference. good players no matter what style they play rise up. keyboard turning mouse turning all that crap you want to say makes you leet makes no real difference. it all ultimately comes down to who adapts better. yes i'm a 5 year daoc vet |

Id rather be in a guild of DAoC RvRers then a guild of WoW PvPers. Big difference between RvR and PvP. |

DAoC had /stick and /face commands. These commands kept you facing your opponent and kept you in range, all you had to do was sit back and smash buttons. DAoC implemented these commands to cater to the the retirement community and the mentally hadicapped. DAoC wasn't real pvp. |

If you''re going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you''re going to be locked up. |

Anyways, people are going to claim that they are better because of x or you are worse because of y. Really, it doesn't matter. Just grin and accept that they are going to immature in this way and go about your way.
Heh, lol this made me laugh too. Im 26 and I play WoW I have a cousin thats 28 and plays wow and our brains cope. The game can be fast paced but and does take skill, but running in circles is not skill. I see people doign alot..... I just stun there ass and put a stop to that bullshit. Now Some movement in battle is good but not running around like a guy on Crack PCP and Meth all at the same time, that just gets annoying. |

The first 2 years of DAoC were the best 2 years in mmorpg history. |

The thing is that back then there were not many good players, because there wasn't an incentive to be good as gear only involved amassing honor kills. When the arena system came out, individual skill made all of the difference, since organization and quick reaction to the opposing team's strategy was usually required for victory especially in mirror matches. Of course I meant a year after the arena's launch, since many people still hadn't figured out the effective combinations yet.
Thats true i never played wow after the expansion. But in my experience wows pvp was really easy mode compaired to old DAoC. No matter what game you play or have played most likly if you were good in one game you will adapt to another. |

Tbh this post makes me laugh and I wonder if half the people talking in here have played both games? WOW the pvp is mostly like Ctf Zones and shit like that ... the Arena is a bit different but it had no real like challenge outside of the killing the 5 people in front of you who ever did it first won. In DAoC/War pvp is different like instead of just going into these small 10v10 ctf maps your going to a huge map with several keeps with your objective being either kill every one in your way for some xp or to try and get a keep unlike WOW when you go in WSG theres 10 people you only have to worry about being ganked by that many people in DAOC you killed some 1 and hid. BC 9/10 times the guy you just killed is gunna come back in a few mins with like 5 more people and even when in group combat you need to worry about being ganked by other groups ect ill admit you dont need to have a perfect timed CC in DAOC but like you try and get as many other players on your tank and then have your casters far away just kinda AOE em while trying to keep your caster alive n shit like that the tactics are totally different... |

Cynical? Me? Never. |
Here it is geniuses. If you were good in DAoC, I'm willing to bet you're good in all games. If you're good in WoW I'm willing to bet you're good in all games. Are some of you really this dense? If you are I'm willing to bet you suck at every game. |
