WAR (Warhammer Online)

Hi

I'm aware that doing just about anything in WAR gives you xp, but is there a way to remain in a certain level bracket for say Scenarios and still play the game?

Reason I'm asking is because I think I might like some of the scenarios and may want to hang back from advancement and play them until exhaustion.

In WoW (Oh noes, not another WoW comparison!), you could play Battlegrounds until kingdom come without levelling so if you liked a certain bracket you didn't have to move on until ready. Will WAR be like this or will I have to re-roll a lot if I want to redo certain scenarios?

Sorry if this is a bit of an ignorant post but I don't know much of the game and didn't get into closed beta. I'm very excited though :)

The only way to stay at a level is to not kill anything ever or not do any quests.  Basically go stand off on the corner and wave at people running off to war.  This game isn't made for twinks and that's exactly what would arrive if they made a way for people to stay at a certain level.  The endgame's where the best fights are anyway...

Another person who can only pvp if he outlevels and out gears the people around him........ No you have no way to stay at a level in order to make lowbie hate the bracket... you will level in time from doing the pvp... and there is nothing you can do about it. So, either learn to pvp with the big boys, or go roll more alts.

Not sure if their is a way to say at a level, but at least you can try every class, such as 1-10 Ironbreaker then 1-10 engineer.

Someone asked Paul or Josh or Mark, I don't remember who answered, if there was a way to turn off gaining experience.  The answer was no, there are no plans at this time.  So maybe in the future but probably not for a long while.

It was the same way in DAoC with BG's and that was acceptable because BG's in DAoC didn't affect the overall server community. WAR BG's do affect the server becaus wins are counted towards Tier control, so no, I wouldn't expect anything like this to be implemented in WAR.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, particularly those who just gave a straight answer. Didn't expect it to be quite so aggressive but hey, at least I found out what I need to know.

For the record, I don't want to make twinks or have an unfair advantage over others to simplify PvP as that would be somewhat boring don't you think? But then again I'm sure certain individuals wouldn't have made that assumption had they actually read my original post correctly.

aye there is no way to do something without getting xp here.

They did that as an anti-twink situation (where in WOW everyong who is 19, 29, 39, 49, 59, etc goes to the Battlegrounds every waking hour)

For the record, most of those who want to twink/gank, use the same argument you are using.
