2008 release...4 months left. I don't see any advertising, any previews, any reviews, not even a promo video (yet). Little chance of a 2008 release, not if they are going to actually do some proper promotion and advertising. If they miss this deadline, it surely HAS to be the end? Can anyone still believe in this if they miss yet another deadline with nothing to show for it?

As long as they keep promising more deadlines people will follow... I mean this game is an MMO dream, too bad it's probably not real. I stoped following this waay back, but i keep hoping it's not vaporware...we'll see.

i cant get past how people bash this game for not following normal mmo hype-production-prerelease tactics.

are people that oblivious to the world of business to know companies do things differently?  it is a small indy developer.

and why is the other way the better way?  aoc hyped and hyped and gave us videos and promises etc etc...and did that turn out well?  no you were lied to and got a terrible game?  and vanguard etc plenty of games have done this and failed...why do you think this is the best way to release a game?

i made this point in another thread....everybody who say 9-10 years is first of all just wrong.  wether you judge the 2003 transition as a new start or not...the fact remains that they delayed the game because it wasnt ready. 

WE SHOULD BE BEGGING COMPANIES TO DO THIS.  you hypocrits bash this game for taking forever, and then bash released games for releasin too soon....lol its insanity.

I still think the mmo industry should just make the games with absolutly minimal  interaction with the community until about 6 months prior to release.  then hype up their product when its all done and good to go.  yes obviously they need to promote the game throughout development to find publishers etc, and info will come out...but the idea that we DESERVE all this info from the development process is absurd

Just wait til August is at its end and then start bitching.

The Darkfall devs are in a running competition with the Duke Nukem Forever devs to see who can get people to believe that there may be a game occuring for longer. 

They're actually both in a shed in the woods behind their parent's house smoking pot.

Its really not that long if you consider the magnitude of a MMORPG like Darkfall.

Beta is just arround the corner since game will be released 2008.

This arrived to the main Darkfall website yesterday. Its a hint that its going beta real soon.
