Role playing games are the best.

I have canceled my AoC account as it has not lived up to it's hype. there have been no changes

in controls and game play that has inspired me to continue playing. You would think that it would be

a better game than most with the large download in your computer memory. I'm out and back

to TB and looking to get Warhammer online asp.

Can't see myself playing WAR, If it was a direct clone of DAOC I probably would. However, It has far to much linear activity from what I have gathered so far. I've also seen quite a few posts saying the combat is slow and boring.I've seen it said that the ruleset takes away from open PVP quite a bit, With little to no reason to play on an open server.

Definite wait and see for me, I won't say it looks like wow (because it dosen't , by any stretch of the imagination). It does however sound as though it plays very similar to it.

Aye, I'm feeling the same way about WAR. If this game has taught me anything I'm going to wait it out to see if it is any good, not just hope the hype matches. And yeah, WAR really just doesn't look like WoW... completely different artistic approach in design and more detail. About 6 months ago it did, and I applaud them for actually getting to improving their graphics. It's mostly the animations that make the combat feel so slow. How everything flows is horrible and is a serious issue that has already been adressed.

And to the OP... glad you finally get the picture.

Life Liberty and the Pursuit of those that would threaten It

Dev's listen to the testers and have changed some things that the testers have pointed out. It really surprised me that they were really listening. This is what i really like

Must admit I agree with this post here. Although I will wait for a few months after games release to see how its going.

AoC has stopped me from ever buying a new mmo on release ever again....I dont want to waste money on over hyped unfinished rubbish.

I kind of get the same feeling for WaR......but i may be wrong. Time will tell.

AOC has made me realize that company history says a ton in this market.  I was not around for the AO launch or Eve launch.  I got word of mouth somtime in the last year about those games through forums.  But I figured that those games had weak funding and this game has proper funding, therefore it must be ok at launch.

I was wrong and found out that companies in the gaming industry rarely change too.

I was also desparate for something new and easily got hyped into playing this game.
