Come on. What are they thinking. Thank god WoW is not falling into this trap. I dont want to spend a year getting max lvl to enjoy the game. I want to max in a week or 2 so I can enjoy guild raids with my guild. I just found out in WAR you lvl up to 40 in pve then start going up 80 lvls in PVP pve = 40 lvls PVP = 80 lvls = 120 lvl. come on.. what were they thinking.. I would much rather have the WoW system where I get tickets for cool items rather then xp and lvls. What happens if I want to pvp and I am lvl 4 and some lvl 80 jackass finds me? :/ At least with tickets I have a fair chance still and wont get completely owned. In any case I think this is going to hurt WAR heavily. Who the hell wants to get PVP xp and lvls? PvP should simply be for a quick meaningless battle. Keep it to the PVE raids to have purpose... |

The question most of us probably have to ask is... If you are lvl like 10 and a lvl 80 pvp guy rushes at you. Is there any chance in hell? Also in global pvp what stops some max char coming to greif me as a noob starting the game? Lol this is a pain in every mmo and I am sure none have found a way to counter it. That will probably also be a game killer. |

I am thinking if you lvl up and get better stats, skills, spells this will really gimp the lower player? Or am I wrong? |

Uh you have your info somewhat confused. You get pve and pvp lvls simultaneously. In PvP, you get xp for both actually. If a lvl 40 (40 is the max level not 80) tries to kill you in a pvp zone appropriate to your level, he will turn into a chicken upon entering the zone and not do squat to you.

All right, so let's say you have the ticket system. So you spent hours and hours getting your tickets and have your cool items now.
And in WAR you spent all that time gaining RvR XP and Levels. Seems to me that you gain more for your time in WAR than you do in WoW. *shrugs* |

I logged on at school to answer this because it's such an absurd complaint. First of all, you start going up RvR levels as soon as you start PvPing, not at level 40. So by the time you ARE level 40, you're already well on your way. Second, the RvR levels are seperate because they only pertain to PvP combat, not to PvE. But in NO WAY do they scale like normal levels! A level 40 would destroy a level 20 (thus the precautions to keep ganking impossible) but a Realm Rank 80 doesn't compare at all in the same way to a RR40. The Realm Ranks allow for new gear and some special skills, but they don't increase your HP, your stats, or give you the next most powerful skill. Plus, as I said, you'd probably be about RR40 (only guessing, as I haven't gotten to play to 40 yet) by the time you get to level 40. |
