a T2 is NOT very good. T's are for networking and uploading to a main hub. When it comes down to download and upload speeds on a single computer playing a game DL speeds of CABLE woop ass.
and it is a MORPG. Since everything is instant. |

No. Just because T1 and T2 are more expensive people think they are better. That is simply not the case. |

Well I agree with the opener. I played the game for a week and it looked quite promising. I never really encountered any 'fatal' bugs, but the game itself appeared quite boring to me after those 7 days. Maybe I was spoiled too much by WoW, because there were definitly some moments where the slightes hunch of a diablo II feeling came up, but that was it :-) |

The only reason I stopped playing was because eventually the game came to a point where I couldn't even start it without it crashing... I thought it was a good game, it was just literally impossible to play it. |

It ran pretty crappy until I slapped more ram in my computer. That change alone made the game run about 10 times better. I think the minimum ram now is 2 gigs on most current games.

Calling this game bullshit is being generous; a lot of Flagship employees are looking elsewhere (check other sites or google it) |

Originally posted by Blackfire1 No, it's not an MMORPG, it's an MOPOS ( multi-player online piece of shit ). And howthe hell does instancing make it an mmo? Go play some real games, then come back and say HG:L is an MMOanything. |

Yeah um every game has bugs sure, but none that i've played have bugs that bad or fatal errors and crashs. So I wouldn't bother playing when there is better mmos all over the place. |

Originally posted by kendaron I'm sorry buddy, i'm going to have to call you out there. This game IS crap. Biggest disappointment of the last couple of years of gaming. I don't think any other games have their own name as a derogative word -"Flagshipped' Even the developers are embarrassed.... |

Jesus christ, people are still putting forth effort in trying to crucify Hellgate? Get a fucking life people. It's a game, and it's honestly not as bad as you turd apes try to make it sound. The amount of effort put forth to bash Hellgate is impressive, and the fact that people who cried about it are still fanning flames and defecating their hatred towards it reminds me why I've lost faith in the online gaming community to begin with. Wake up: It's a game, people are gonna play it. If it absolutely ruins your life knowing this, please remove yourself from the genepool now. Kthx.

I think it's pretty fun in short bursts. It's way too repetitive to play for long periods (too many recycled environments), and the NPC dialogue irks me. Whoever decided that "zany" was the way to go in such a dark setting needs to be clubbed. However, murdering zombies with a machine guns while my pets fire explosives all over the place is it's own reward. I'd say I still play it once a week. The intense hatred that the game garners is a bit puzzling to me. The only thing that really bugs me about Hellgate is that it's only OK. If not for a number of bone-headed design decisions, it could have been awesome. The things that they got right are a hell of a lot harder to get right than the things that the f-ed up. It's really pretty sad. I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us. |

Yeah no doubt problems at realease but the game runs 100% better today. Patch 2.0 coming soon and more people are playing. The funny thing about the naysayers is that they are drooling for the next big mmo to come and all we getting are complete failures in that department. So by all means keep paying 15 a month for broken mmo games while Hellgate just keeps getting better and better. |

That's a reasonably fine upload speed for typical use, but it would be CRIPPLING for anything more than the smallest of webservers. I mean imagine 100 people using that. They'd be getting 640 kbps.
