Rushin, I think you are mistaken...Old accounts that were Subscribed when the lights went out are open, but old Unsubscribed accounts do not appear to be [I know mine is not, nor are some referenced on the Ryzom forums as of today 28 Aug]

i know both my unsubbed accounts are able to log in now. The only type of account that still shouldn't be able to log in are the ones that got banned. If you can't get in anyway use the support tool (CeB) that can be found on the ryzom website to ask for assistance from a GM or guide.

I know from a close friend that some very few old accounts for some strange reason cant be reactivated at the moment. The staff is researching the issue franticaly and we all hope he´ll be his former self again soon  He just made a new acc. for the time being.

It´s got something to do with unresolved payment issues in europe or something. I dunno, but they´re making every possible effort to solve the problem.

It is quite possible that your old client does not work anymore, due to changed server adress.

There´s a "fix" to download on the official boards, if I´m not mistaken.

Or DL the client anew by torrent, worked great for me, because I had to reininstall after a HD crash from my old CD and it didn´t work at first. DLd the new client and voilá.

Well not all old accounts can log in. Any accounts that were created when the first Secondary English server, can't think of the name sorry, went down that were still on the island or Below a certain level were deleted so the names could be freed up for use but if you weren't on the other server you should be fine unless you were one of the few cases that MadSam talked about!

well if we are picking holes in my earlier answer then banned acconuts also cannot login, but everyone else :) Deleted characters after windy and aris merge were all under level 20 i think, which is only an hour or two of playing so not a massive issue hopefully.

I had some troubles myself as i had been unsubbed for 18 months or so, but a few emails with CSR and a  password reset did it .
