Came to this site just a few days ago in the hopes of keeping track of the progression of 2 games that i was looking forward to.

1)WAR

2)WotLK

Quit playing WoW 2 months ago and was in the closed beta for WAR. But i had to stay away from gaming in general as my studies intervened so i thought it would be a good idea to join a site where i could keep track of both these games progress.

Man was i wrong.

Features/ideas/impressions about a game are rarely discussed. Instead people are more interested in which game 1ups the other. And to my bad luck it had to be the 2 i was most interested in. Posts where gameplay mechanics are discussed get no attention and posts like

Why WoW is better than WAR or

Why iam leaving WoW for WAR end up 15-20 pages long.

Ive seen people write honest reviews about bugs/flaws or ask an honest question about a problem in WAR and get called "WoW fanboys" or told "go back to WoW noob". Ive actually seen someone being told that his opinion is wrong =/

Then again ive also seen people bash WAR for bugs/flaws in its beta and call it a failure. Bugs which can  and are being fixed. Calling a game a failure before its even released is really immature.

So ive decided not to come back to this site. Most posts are filled with negativity and hate and its begining to get depressing. You must be a really frustrated bunch to hope that one game fails and another dies. So i bid you farewell.

Welcome to the MMORPG forums, insanely enough many forums are like this.. this is just one of the best AND greatest _pessimistic forums in all of MMO history.  Good luck with whatever other forums you find... they probably won't be much better in all honesty.

its been like that since this website opened in 2002. It happens in EVERY gaming forum unfortunately. You just got to grow a thick skin and ignore people.

But sorry to see you go, man. Better luck in wherever you do go.

  Yes, yes move on kid.  This is a forum for people who don't buy into the hype.  If you think the way BETA progresses doesn't influence the final product you are a newbie  , plain and simple.  Judging from AoC BETA anyone could have seen the game is not ready for launch.  Judging from WAR beta anyone can see the game is a shallow product.  Being in Gods and Heroes beta gave me a good impression that the game will probably fail. 

   You should definetly go to a forum that is filled with newbies like you who buy into the hype and have very little experience with mmo development.

Well I wish I could agree that this forum doesnt buy into the hype, but this forum is all about hype good and bad. I used to come here for info on new games, but now its all "wow killer" or nothing...

At least on other forums they talk about more games than wow war aoc  lotro darkfall.

this happens when a new game is almost at release. The same thing happened with AOC. Come back in another couple months it should die down a bit.

Maybe if they made good mmorpgs and not the same old tired shit then we'd have something posititve to say.
