I just figured it out.

Why they are having such a tough time giving us some actual player perspective in-game video....

Why they still haven't had an actual beta with real live players....

Why nobody that we have even ever heard of has actually played this game...

Why the videos they have released look so cinema like and not like actual real live game play...

They don't have an actual game.  ....Now now, before you jump all over me, read my explanation:

They have created a small virtual area with water, some landscape, and some ships and crap.  Then they have made a few pre-programmed "bots" to run around following their in game commands.  From there, they have cameras that they can maneuver into any angle that suits their purpose for videos and screenshots etc.  This would explain why it is taking so very long to get us a 5 minute video that shows such new in-depth features we haven't yet seen.  They are having to program all their bots to do as they want, and manipulate their camera angles to be behind the bots avatars, and perhaps make up some phony IU.  I mean really, that would certainly take a lot more time and would explain all these delays since May for this video. Because we all know if they had an actual game as they state they do, then loading up fraps and simply recording 5 min of in game footage could have easily been done way back in May without any delays what-so-ever.  Makes perfect sense.

This would also explain why they CAN'T have any actual players play their um game, cuz it's all pre-programed 'bots" and there is no actual game... unless you consider moving cameras around a "game".

This would certainly also explain why all the videos so far look exactly as they do.

And why all the screenshots look so similar to each other, because they don't even have a "world", they simply have a chunk of virtual land and a little water for the boats to film all their wonderful videos and snap screenshots.

It all fits together and makes perfect sense.

Okay, why has it taken so long to make just this you ask?  Simple.  Because they haven't yet scammed enough money from investors to suit their desires before they run off and hide, never to be found again.

Okay you fanboys ask, what would be their reason for this?  Easy.  To try and earn investors cash.  Nothing more.  Investors put up millions and millions of dollars for such games, especially a game that promises all the things this game has promised. 

It DOES make sense.  And to someone like me who has followed and seen so much with mmo games since 1996, this is a LOT more believable then some small group of unheard of guys are making the worlds greatest mmo with unbelievable features, 500 man wars with no lag, etc, etc. 

Sure I could be wrong.  But just let me ask you...  What if the odds are in my favor here with this explanation and I am indeed absolutely correct, or very very close to hitting the nail on the head here?  It makes sense for everything to me.  It makes sense out of all the delays, the no beta, ...everything.

I can see it now.  On a new Jeopordy game show in the year 2014, the host asks the question "A video game that promised features and game play never before seen in a game, turned out to be a hoax when the developers with ficticious names made of with 70 million investor dollars"... some one hits their buzzer and simply says "What is Darkfall?".   ...Correct for 500!

and your theroy just explinds if its a hoax what if tasos is being pretty much honest with us? would throw your world for a loop wouldnt it

And i can agree, there is not one DF fanboi that havent thought about this. But what would be the fun in that? Remember that we begin with zero Darkfall, and slowly work us towards a real game.

Pointing out the zero part is just a natural thing = no fun.

Yea Right!  Not one of them happens to know anyone that knows anyone that happens to know anyone that can share some relevant info................And ever see an English video or interview?  Or even an Interview done professionally with any form of professional media that we can all vouch for? Or even actually see someone play the game in a video?

Good job OP with that synopsys on why it has never and never will see the light of day.

Yea Right!  Not one of them happens to know anyone that knows anyone that happens to know anyone that can share some relevant info................And ever see an English video or interview?  Or even an Interview done professionally with any form of professional media that we can all vouch for? Or even actually see someone play the game in a video?

Some made up story created of someone with way to much fantasy.

Yeh, the funny thing is it would be sooooooooooooooooooooooooo easy to blast me and most other nay sayers for Darkfall out of the water and change us into believers.

For me, all I need is an in-game video made with like fraps that shows a player running and fighting a mob or two and maybe another real in game player.  5 min tops.  They certainly don't need 1 TB of raw video for this! That to me is utter ridiculous and just more reason NOT to believe a word they are saying.

5 min guys.  This isn't hard and shouldn't even take 30 min of your time, much less months and months and months.  Show me in game video of maybe 30 seconds of you making an avatar, logging into the world, and running around.  Kill a mob or two, and fight another player that logs in with you in the same starting zone.  That's it!  You can show all your other features later, that's cool.  But a video like I'm asking for here is simple as hell to put out and would do wonders for making your game actually believable.  Nothing fancy at all, that's all I need to become a believer.

But they won't do that.  They want months and months and need to keep saying that they have over 1 TB of raw footage, blah blah, blah, and when this stupid video comes out, I betcha anything it will indeed look polished, scripted, and FAKE. 

If the game is up and running with all promised features as you have said Tasos, then it certainly shouldn't be hard at all to shut me up.  And a lot of others too.

They won't do that though.  Which certainly makes me believe in my OP synopsis over everything they are promising and saying that Darkfall is. 

I guess I tend to be a rational guy and go with the odds rather then believe in improbable things that just don't add up and make sense.

If that makes me a troll, so be it. 

But rather then combating my OP with simple one line answers that give nothing new and don't answer why my OP is not realistic or a genuine possibility does nothing.  Convince me that Darkfall is real.  And don't use the words "Tasos said this" or "Tasos said that".  I don't believe a word he says.  So convince me I'm ridiculous with my synopsis that explains everyhing perfectly to me with rational and reason, and perhaps I will listen.  Name calling and attacking me does nothing to fortify your beliefs and why anyone who believes like I do that you are a fan with realistic expectations.
