WAR will not kill WoW anytime soon.

The pve in WAR is lacking, classes are far to generic, and the game lacks side content beyond the tome of knowledge.

WoW has had alot of time to polish as well, and has tons of working content in it. WAR is new, and will take time. Not to mention WoW's next expansion is just over the horizon which is gonna keep their players hooked for some time.

This is all my opinion of course, not to mention I don't like either games :P

I believe this game isn't all great and neither is WoW. Nobody gives games a chance (I played the WAR beta and I don't like it I gave it my chance). AoC I gave a chance it was a good game until the patching system went down the drain and broke every single thing. The only two games I have hopes for is Stargate Worlds and the to be Announced still Star Wars MMO.

Dude ,thats the worst you can say about AoC is some log-in server stability issue? How about 80% of the game is instanced?  Noob MMO'rs ,when you guys gonna get some better taste?

Warhammer doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of dethroning WoW.  It's been said once, and I will say it again.  The only thing that will topple WoW is *Blizzard making another MMORPG like World of Starcraft or World of Diablo*

same here. the comparision thing is also getting old. WOW is a good game, WAR is better IMO. LOTRO is also a good game. these are pretty much the only 3 mmos at the top of the list, they are all good, i would just perfer to play WAR. WOW killer, probably, WOW is old news.

Open world RVR is where its at. Blizzard doesn't know how to do that.

Saying "I've heard the same tired stuff for years now," doesn't automatically make the game just as unimportant or worthless as the ones that were put in their place.  AoC for example, was hyped like crazy, people played it, realized what it was and let it be, it didn't kill wow, but the hype certainly gave wow players something to rave about" The reality is, AoC was terrible, is terrible, it's a one-shot fest and still has so many problems many months after release. 

Warhammer is NOT those games, warhammer is a well-thought out diverse, extremely tested game, that has a company with a lot of experience in MMO's backing it up.  It's not failcom, or some nobody chargin' in with their promises of victory over wow.  It's warhammer, a well-known community fan based game that will have immediately more success over AoC simply based on that.  Further, it will do much better than any of those other "WoW Killers" Simply becuase the game is vastly superior to all of them.

EDIT: Wrath of the Lich King will accomplish gathering a few more people to come back, grind out an even longer 10 more levels, start completely over with their gear, becuase all the endless arena hours and battleground hours, and PvE raiding will be rendered useless.  Once they do that, beat the new zone, realize it's the same damn game only with 10 more levels, a few more abilities, and one more class added, people will quickly get bored again, and start to look elsewhere for entertainment.  Where better than a brand new successful game -- Warhammer Online
 

I really don't understand why everyone has to say one game will win out over the other.   Though I plan on playing war and look forward to playing it I also play wow.  I know several people in my guild and out that do not like pvp even when they are playing on pvp servers.  They are mainly pve players who from time to time like to the idea of killing the other side.  Other than that they want to raid or quest. 

I sort of see the two games helping each other out.  One main reason I am going to play War is I like the idea of pvp that means something.  RvR is the best way to make pvp count for something.  This way I get my one fix while I have an established char in pve in wow.  Will I wind up playing war more than wow maybe, but I don't see it killing wow off with a new expansion coming out. 

I do hope war succeeds and catches on but the mere fact it is pvp and rvr in its focus does turn away many pvers.  Wow's day will come when blizard decides to retire it.  I think it is better if more games succeed then fail or look for one game to kill another.  So I am keeping both games if War turns out to be good.

So...

What constitutes a kill?  Some MMOs have proven that they have more lives than Old Mr. Johnson's Cat.  EQ1, SWG, Vanguard, and the like still have a dedicated player base.  Does the O.P. think that Bliz will have to close all its servers, pack up, and go subscribe to War themselves?  Or perhaps WoW will just have a serious competitor, or even become the SECOND most populated MMO on the market. 

Either way, I hope there won't be 70,000,000 games that copycat War or Wow in the next few years.  I am planning on playing War, but I am ready for something OTHER than the same game rehashed in 16 kabillion different skins.

Let me add the Warhammer IP is older than Warcraft as well. Blizzard is worse at being original than even Games Workshop.

i have a hard time believing that people actually leave wow(wotlk) for war.

because combat is just not that good.

And combat is where it is at.

If WAR had class mechanics and combat of WOW, it would have way more chance for success.

I will talk about the combat speed too.  After seeing this video I am changing my mind again... maybe WAR doesn't kill WoW... after all the combat seems faster

I played WoW for a little bit and went back to DAoC..    Combat mechanics means alot but, when you take the scale of Warhammer RVR (not being instance heavy)  I think it does a great job of balance engine wise.

The little quirks delays and missing animations are there for testing and some are being fixed.

I've been in betas sence Meridian, I know when ones a failure or not by this point in time.

Warhammer is a success!

Debugging and the mass of other things going on. With the ammount of testers being loaded on the server *s , Mythic has done an excellent job thus far.

Haters will be haters ,I remember how god awful Blizzard servers were at its release. I bet you Warhammer is less issues and more players at RELEASE>

I think WAR graphics > WoW graphics, even when WAR graphics are locked in medium... I think WoW's combat speed is not far from WoW's one... etc, etc, etc... but I just letting myself enjoy the troll trolling hehehe

But I dont want to seriously discuss subjects in this post... I am making the point that many of the complains were in fact based on incorrect facts and just trolling.  To do that I am just saying WAR will end WoW based on nothing more than my own BS

Did you see the video proving that WoW is faster than racing car games?  I think it proves Clearly that WoW's combat speed is superior than, at least, Quakes one.

EDIT: I went back to change my mind... I think in 1 year WoW will dissapear of the western world because of WAR.  The end is near WoW people... get over with the denial and pass to the anger step!
