the council is packed with PVPers I dont think there is any carebears on the council at all,, PVP corps are bigger than any pure non-pvp corp. cause once they get too large they are constantly wardeced which forces then to either become PVP or people leave the corp or the game. so all the issues brought up by the council are going to be PVP oriented which makes the game worse not better. just go read the forums on STAR TREK ONLINE they are from maby EX-EVE non-pvpers that want a game that they can play in peace and not harassed by other players while mining or exploring. as for walking around stations id rather have them spending their energy fixing the broken systems in the game like the courier system and that grind of a misson system. I wanted to try moon mining or gas mining but those are only accessable by PVP corps or at unreasonable risk LOW SEC is POISON make a world, not a game, we dont want another game. |

It honestly puzzles me why anyone would want to play Eve for the PvE, unless you really love economies. |

I hope they do the type of thing in stations that mimic the planets the races come from to try and make them feel more at home. Say for example like have zoo's and theme parks in the stations and forests and like a beach etc etc. Instead of making the avatars go to the planets I think you should make the planets come to the stations and for leisure for the people would be a perfect excuse to do so. |

For all of the games features, there is still one element, other than the WIS feature, and, maybe ground system, is a true open raid system that allows for new players and better trained pilots to interact with. As we all know in real world, countries raid other countries all the time, and it would be nice to get a high alert message asking for pilots help in staving off a raid on a random system. No Bounties, no wrecks to loot, maybe a system of counters that pilots can hand in for a isk reward, or, componets for ships, for taking down these raiding ships, or, fleet raid. I know you will all flame me for this, but, to be honest, how many new players get to join in on a 5/10-10/10 instance encounter way out in the 0,0 space lanes. To top it all off, my last gripe of the game is the fact that ever since the Jovian Diplomat affair way back 4 years ago, Eve has never had anything major done by the Devs, or, GMs that actually got the players in the whole Eve universe behind a in game project.. We keep hearing small promises that so far haven't been addressed, such as the Jovians becoming a part of the Eve universe, the possiblity of opening more rig slots on ships, and, many others, but, nothing has come of it, except the promoting of new features that are months, to another year down the road.

I think the ambulation will help them attract more people. I think a lot of people also want to feel some sort of connection with their character and looking at a ship isn't enough. Besides, EVE Online is next to WoW the only MMORPG that is still rising in subs :) |

CCP is realizing this too and fixing the unbalanced pvp items like suiciding, and too fast ships. I think this game is getting better and better. Eve most certainly is not a strictly pvp game. |

Whether 95% of the players pvp or pve EVE is designed around PVP gameplay. The economy rely's on it heavily as do all other gameplay areas. Everything and everyone is connected to the pvp gameplay on some level within the game whether they take part in it directly or not. |

I meant no disrespect. I'm just genuinely confused. I have not played since before Empyrean, but at least before then, the PvE was sub-par at best. Missions are very repetitive and boring. There is not even any form of aggro system aside from they stay attacking the first person they seen. I was never big on mining, but the times I did mine, it was pretty much something I did on the side while doing something else, such as watching a movie or just chatting. So thats why I feel, unless you really like the economic portion of the game, I dont know why people would play Eve for PvE. There are games that offer every single thing that Eve offers when it comes to PvE, expect the other games do it way better. The economy is the one thing the non-PvP players would take part in that would be better in Eve. Most of the mechanics unique to the game of Eve are PvP dependant. A large portion of the gear/fittings are only useful in PvP, the death system, the wanted system, the low-sec and 0.0 zones, the neccessity of going to 0.0 zones for the highest amounts of profit. Again, I dont mean this disrespectfully.... as an honest question... What do you guys who mainly PvE do? and why do you choose Eve as your game of choice for doing it? |

I have been playing EVE for more than 2 years and so far not found any need to go for pvp. I love mission running and love to build new ships for my mission running, invite my corp members with me on missions ops or mining ops and just have fun trying out new ships and setups. It is fun to get more BPO to produce your ammo and some modules, get BPC for hig tech ships and try to build them and get better at the production part of EVE. Some of us do get a lot of datacores from research agents but so far we have not tried to invent anything difficult but that will come later. We like to chat in corp channel, in missions chat room, in local and just in general help each other out with this and that and to socialize with others pilots in EVE. Recently my corp started to do some exploring in covert ops ships like the Helios to look for hidden mining sites and undiscovered treasures and had a lot of fun doing so. Some of my corp members truly love to mine a lot, others go for production and playing the market, some are all fixed on getting better tanking ship to be able to solo lvl 4 missions and some only buy and sell things and haul it around in Iteron Mark V or even in a Obelisk to get best price. As we know that we will get war dec soon again then ofcourse we practice fighting in fleet to be able to be effective in killing those who that will attack us when that time comes. But we only do that so far as to be able to defend us. So we are quite happy in our non pvp mode in EVE and really do not want to be sucked into the pvp aspect of EVE to much. Also just to fly around in EVE is fun on its own and I have not found any game out there that can give me so many things to go far and as much satisfaction as EVE so that is my game of choice and will be for some more years at least. At last I just want to say it will be fun to be able to walk in stations and I really hope CCP will not allow any killings or fighing in there. |

I mean no disrespect. I'm just genuinely confused. But, how can people consider WoW endgame content any fun? It's completely boring and lackluster, filled with only people who can spend 4-8 hours in raid everyday. Even raids are incredibly boring. EVE is a sandbox, you either create your PvE or you don't. Most people who don't, do not understand the concept of a sandbox (which are most of the people here who questions it absurdly). Funny thing is these same people probably played and loved SWG in the beginning age, but are mostly moaning because the lack of "chic char to check out, YoZ!". Don't worry, you guys have nothing to prove to me, I completely understand your insecurity. How dare EVE add a little challenge and unexpectedness to PvE with a hint of PvP! Why god, why can't we have those same pathing predictable NPCs instead!? |
