Well, you lack of imagination maybe.  But I never played runescape.  I played for several years games like UO, Lineage 2, DAoC... and I do have fun in this game.  Maybe I am the only one... maybe not.

This game reminds me of Team Fortress 2 where classes are very limited too. But TF2 is fine because you could change the class any time you want. In WAR, i'm already sick of my class being forced to do ONE very specific thing after lvl 5-8.

I know why devs have done it the way it is. To make huge rvr battles more balanced or something like that.

I guess the game is just not for me.

I agree that the game requires no skill to play in PVP because in WOW where as if I was a good player then I could take on like 3 people at once but in WAR the classes are soo restricted that you'll lose every time against more players. In WAR I just found myself hitting the same skill chain over and over and then hitting one of the generic skills that every class has if needed. What pissed me off was I couldn't run behind them so they would have to turn and face me to get the attack off, for some reason they always seemed to get it off anyways. What also pissed me off was the fact that my melee DPS class couldn't ever beat a tank and it was not about player skill like in WOW but just about what class you're fighting.

I'm defo not buying the game because WOW has the perfect system but it just needs something like WARs RVR to make the PVP good. However WAR needs a whole class and combat redesign which just ain't going to happen and is much harder to do.

So I'll keep my faith and hope Blizzard make world PVP good like before battlegrounds or that SOE release pre cu SWG servers.

with good player you mean if you're in s4 gear and they are in greens? yea... i can take them on too the :P but if you and both the 3 players you're facing have s4 gear... unless you play an OP class, they play a weak class and have no brain... you can't beat 3 on 1 in wow... NOT with skill... wow is 10% skill, 90% gear... IMHO ofc...

I totally disagree.  Imho, I wouldnt even consider WoW a PvP game (not even before BGs).  Neither I would even call "perfect system" to what WoW has.  But each person has a different opinion on about anything.

I just cant stand the pve raidfest and item focusing that WoW has.  I think it depends more on gear than on skill... so you see my opinion is in the other side of this than yours.

I played WoW too much but thanks to god I went into recovery and DAoC saved me.  hehe ;)

I respect your opinion while I don't share it and I wish you the best in WoW!!!  I will having a blast in WAR :)

Guys i think u indeed act like fanbois ...this guy here says specific things...he DOES NOT say anything about he doesnt want to group up...he said it needs to find a reallly good group otheerwise u ll wipe your butt...

he says that it doesnt require any specific individual skill for each class =  classes with not many things to do...

example : a hunter in world of warcraft can  use with bow many diferent abilities that do physical dmg magical dmg dispell dots trap enemies slow enemies in melee engagement swinfg his sword e.t.c.

L2R = learn to read the posts...

The worst of all is that almost all the answers u gave him are out of the topic babling about he s nerd and other characterisms without even giving any convincial statements of what u saw in beta of war IF U EVER SAW THAT..

THE IQ balance of pppl keeps droping aaaand droping ...

L2S = Learn to Spell. Its not that hard. And if you try people can understand what you are ranting about. I mean FFS the post editor has a spell checker - use it.

WAR is for some people and not for others.   The Preview Weekend was to help peoeple decide on that.

I would be interested in hearing what the OP thinks is a good PvP game currently out there or if they think all games are bad.

Welcome to every MMo OP. They are all the same due to the plague that is WoW. The ideas of AC, Original UO, Original SWG, and others are being swept away with the cookie cutter builds which is unfortunate.

I disagree with you.  I have enjoyed testing WAR for the past two weeks, I have tried the different races and classes and each one has their own strengths and weaknesses just like other MMOs, you just need to learn what they are and how to use them to your advantage.

Well you know you pretty much just described DAoC.

If you take two groups and lets say they all know how to play equally well.. have equal gear and relatively are the same realm rank...

But group 1 has the perfect class setup and group 2 is a PUG that isn't a well balanced group..

Guess who is going to win.

Hell even in PvE games you see the same damn thing... Game might have 26 classes but only half that are wanted for anything.. because everyone wants to maximize and reduce chances of losing to zero.

Which of course sucks if you go to WAR becuase you want to play a specific class but its not optimal for what people want in a group.

This isn't exactly a WAR issue its a general MMO issue...

and I'm not exactly what I'd call a fan of the game as it is.  But.. I can pretend to be logical as well.. sometimes.

Oh and in Mythics other game.. DAoC.. ya there are plenty of classes that won't get in those "optimal" 8 mans.. becuase they just don't fit.  Oh wait I said that already...  

I always thought early Ultima Online was the best PvP game I ever played... regardless.
