I have not seen most posting about this class, or any movies. Its becuse it no good  or what is it ?

From what i've read, they are probably the most underpowered career. However, Mythic is (at this moment) fixing the Magus in time for release, as Mark Jacobs stated in one of the latest updates - to bring it on par with other careers.

All you need to know, for now, is that they're the equivalent to a defence/support class (much like the Engineer... of which there is a lot of footage of)... and IMO, will end up being one of the best careers out there!

Also, they can shoot chain lightning... which is FTW obviously...

As ben just added, and not finished.  It needs lots of "dev love" to become something.

The engineer are like somewhat interesting, so I hope the magus will look good in the future.

As others have said they arent up to snuff right now. The potential is definitly there, but they need some help. Mainly they need an identity. You know your a defensive caster. But your just not sure how in the hell your sposed accomplish that.

The chosen have  several  damage/buf/debuff areas that I think could prove much more usefull than anything in the magus arsenal. 

Anyway you could always try to play the magus like a engineer:

 - place your turret behind something, in the path of players, much like a "mine"

 - use your DD skills to "finish" people damaged

 - use your AOE (if any) to weaken the enemy force

 - look around, If you are outnumbered.. RUN!.   other people have more survavility than u, so you need to be the first to go chicken.

They made huge mistake putting magus on a disk. They are now target #1 for everyone - and they have very low hp.

Magus along with Squig herder and Engineer is being reviewed. Since they are all ranged pet classes they need a lot of love.
