I dab into AoC still and like it, but I wouldnt call it the worst MMO in history. There are a couple that hold this title. AoC just needs a little more love and could possibly be fun for me.

Can you say Dark and Light and Roma Victor for the worst mmorpgs.

But, Shitty mmorpgs that were bad, but came into their own.. Anarchy Online and Vangaurd.

As for the OP post.

Lets just say everyone of friends that got in PW did'nt believe WAR was all that, till they tried it. However they set their expectations down real low and stayed away from the hype meter. We all played last night together for 6+ hours of non-stop fun. Whether this fun will last over 30+ days for them when the game is released, is still to be seen.

But all 7 of them are going to buy Warhammer and give it a try.

AoC = much better graphics and more interesting combat

WAR = a real game, with lots of fun stuff to do

I don't like either but I have to say anything beats AoC, even what swg has become still beats AoC....ok maybe I wouldn't go that far but the fact that everyone is playing WAR and leaving Age of crap should be enough to show you that WAR is a better game.

Now even though I just said that doesn't mean go off to a game with alot of subscribers but go off to a game that fits you play style the most and this is just my opinion so if you really don't know which one is better go off and play them both and you decide, I'm just warning you that there's a reason why they call it Age of Crap.

You will be facing the same thing as AoC get used to it.

Hopefully they patch your game up and people stay longer than all the other MMO's that have released over the last couple of years.

I dont see that happening, but at least you can hope right??

 The combat in this game is sorely lacking. The animations in this game are sorely lacking. Other then that this is an entertaining game. They can fix the second one eventually but I'm not sure about the first of the two. Feels incredibly slow and boring to me.

Warhammer is very polished.. but the combat is a little slow.. and  can get rather boring fast. Also im not really sure where mythic can go with warhammer besides adding more content like wow does! (im mainly taking about features they can add later on based off of what the game has to offer now)

Just to get this out of the way.. this post isnt about what game i like more or what game i think is better. Im just wondering if people think warhammer as a game blows aoc out of the water like so many have said. Now i know people are going to bring up the lies, bugs, issues, no content etc thats fine but aoc isnt going to have all those issues.. and when that days comes... (i hope sooner than later) will people still think war is better?

I jsut want to give my opinion about the speed of combat. It's important that people know that they will not kill fast or die fast.  You have to be hit a lot before dying, some classes more than others, of course.

I agree the combat in AoC is faster than WAR.  The combat in DAoC is faster than in WAR, imo.  It's not the stun, nuke, nuke, nuke, dead of DAoC hehehe.  It's not the fast peace of AoC.  It's more like people will have a few second to decide actually what to do depending in the situation and it wont be just to see how has the fastest reflexes.  Of course, I may be totally wrong.

You said you a beta tester so you should know that Mythic raise the TTK based on feedback.  We may like it or not but its what it is.

I think people will have to try and see if they like it or not.  I actually like it but I am sure others, like you wont.

Yes, have fun with your DX10 graphics (eventually), and the awesome PvP patch (just around the corner!), plus all those amazing content updates that'll help fill the leveling gaps (hold your breath! Please!)

Just about every game is blowing AoC out of the water. War obliterates AoC. Period.

This whole is AoC or is WAR thing comes down to what some people like or dont like.
 

WAR is a new game that is being released soon and will have problems just like ALL the other MMO's that released. 

You can bet they will be hit very hard all across the web right off the bat because they do not offer a place for customers to post complaints.

AoC's combat will appeal to some people  just lIke WARs combat will.

Gameplay will appeal to some people as well.

WARs problem is that its too much like the other games out already in alot of ways and this will leave a bad taste in the mouth of those who bought into the hype being spread.

AoC had the hype thing going on as well, but because of that people are looking at WAR as their last chance to actually find a game thats new and exciting.

It could be that WAR faces more wrath than AoC did right out of the box because soo many people are expecting too much.

Anyhow again Good Luck keep the hype in check and be honest it will go along way.

I have been playing AOC and Warhammer beta. Does WAR blow away AOC? Not in my opinion. I think they each have entirely different feel and play style. Those who say AOC is the worst MMO ever must have not played many others but AOC is a good game and improves all the time. Graphically, no fantasy based MMO comes close to it. Warhammer graphics are decent but I a thinking they are a little toned down to accomodate all the RVR play.

I agree with aonther poster that AOC has a more action oriented combat system and WAR can feel a little slow at times in a fight. That being said, I have had some really fun times playing RVR in WAR this weekend.

Bottom line to me is that one does not blow away the other but both have something different to offer.
