WAR (Warhammer Online)

Are you sad? Here something to cheer you up. Go to any quest location with mobs. Tag a few of them. Watch and enjoy. Here is what will happen:

1. One will turn in your general direction but will get stuck in an invisible obstacle
2. The second will start running towards you then passes you then disapears on the horizon
3. The third will start running opposite direction of you, stop, mill for a half a minute  then return to you
4. The fourth may actually reach you, SURPRISE!!!!

Now, once one or two mobs are hitting you run around them, but careful ... just a few yards ... don't take  too many steps cause they'll reset.  Turn around and enjoy the show:

The mobs will most likely get stuck in one-another, they will mill about, one direction, then the other, then they will begin the synchronized running in place event where their feet move but their bodies won't. They are now slowly and hopelessly merged into one another.

. Wait a few minutes. They may untangle. Wou will need to take two more steps so that they re-entangle.

The programming on this game is surprisingly bad. It is one thing to have bad path finding, and other to have mobs run the opposite direction, that is not bad path finding ... that is incompetent path finding. This game has bugs of such magnitude that makes one wonder just what the heck were they thinking.

Are you serious with the trolling tonight little WoW boy?  Maybe if you earned your levels in WoW instead of buying accounts you would have something better to do?

Seriously, of all the bugs that are in the game right now.  A significant number of them are game-breaking.  You choose freaking pathing to whine about?

You fail at trolling.  Go back to Ebaum's until your troll is stronger.

heh yeah, poor little WoW troll, he's gettin scared that a decent MMO is on the horizon

.. and he already blew all his allowance on having his WoW chars powerleveled, and buying accounts. 

There are certainly pathing issues... many mobs run in the opposite direction, which is bizarre - unless this is tactical. Others do get stuck.

But not as bad as he said. And who cares any way. This is about RVR much more than PVE. Human players seem to path fine.

This post  was entertainment and seeing just how bad the programming on this game is/was. You should draw you own conclusions and expectations based on how badly they borked and huge part of their game.

Without proper pathing the entire PvE section of the game is hopelessly broken.  I have never seen an MMO with mobs that are this stupid.

you need to be gratuitously optimistic to expect that anything that  more complex features would work where not even simple ones like a mob moving in your general direction do not

We all know, but watching a wannabe-WoW troll trying is funny, the only "trolling" he's done is probably a lvl 1 troll in WoW
