Conservativism is like an STD, it is fun to screw everybody, but then you eventually get burned. |

I rather not eat Big Macs and save my money while I wait for SWG Pre-CU, STO possibly (its FAQ and recent video looks interesting), on the off chance Darkfall, or some other MMORPG that is finally at least a quality hamburger. |

We must abolish ignorance or we will fail. |
Originally posted by SaintViktor I said the same thing about a year ago. People will get bored fast with the LINEAR play style of WAR and the RVR tiers. Not much here then this aspect of the game. It is weak on PVE which is what WAR is about anyway with the RVR aspect and not being much a PVE game. I just don't see this one holding much attention to players in the long run. |

Because no matter how good or bad the scenarios, public quests, and RvR are I just can't bring myself to shell out $50 to go through another large stupid series of linear quests to get to an endgame in a universe that while I enjoy isn't my favorite. Which is the same reason why I stoped playing WoW, LorR, and AoC , its all the same shit, and why I won't even bother with most other MMOs. I just don't wanna spend $15 a month to go on a linear path of scripted pez despenser quests and the only thing that could maybe make be able to stomach this is beeing in a universe that I absolutely love like Star Wars or Stargate.

You sir sum it up nicely everything in this industry is the same old hamburger including WAR. And I for one would like to be served a meal with a hamburger, a taco, and a hotdog. |

I am looking for a UO-esque experiance, but it has to be the right setting. I thought that the Star Wars Galaxies, did a decent job of being like UO, but I dislike the Star Wars Setting. Star Trek on the other hand I could go for! Golbins and orcs are really not my cup of tea either. |

Originally posted by SaintViktor That is a fair question, that most developers should look at.I am never too busy to move to or play another game.I do not get tied up in my character nor do i feel the need to hang onto a game just because i accumulated 70 levels and tons of gear. I look at just about every game that comes out and look for many factors. When i first started looking at warhammer,i did so by watching the videos of course. They really turned me off because the people in the vids were acting bigtime immature,so it left a bad impression.I saw a lot of the public react to the videos in a positive manner, therefore it left me feeling this game was going to have an immature base as WOW did. The other part that turned me off was there crafting.I have to have a totally complete game to qualify it as being an MMORPG.These guys started talking like they were making crafting streamlined, when in reality i took there expressions as one meaning they were making crafting very simple/boring and not much of a data base to craft from. This also lent it self to being a totally PVP game only, all other aspects of MMORPG's were left out. There is a lot of people out there who couldn't give a squat about PVP in a MMORPG.I use games like unreal tournament to feed my PVP need. So over all the game offered pretty much nothing to me,so it was one of the few games i didn't bother to try for beta or give it anymore consideration. |

Basically, if the game is not immersive, then I wont play it. I loved DAOC but I could get immersed in that lore more easily for some reason. Warhammer might be a mature universe but it looks very kiddie. Also, the RVR doesnt strike me as better as DAOC's three way FFA battlefields, although even a half-assed PVP system with good combat would impress. |

I hate there cartoony like graphics, its to happy and nice unlike the real Warhammer universe Also the combat looks very dull and slow and theres no blood at all its just lots and lots of magic sounds and lights and it takes idk like 10 secs just to swing a sword |

I'm more of a sandbox type of guy. While Warhammer looks nice I just hate linear character progression. I'm playing Saga of Ryzom atm it's a niche sandbox with a great community so I'm happy. Will probably be playing SoR for a very long time unless Earthrise totally rocks when It releases.
I have nothing bad to say about War just isnt for me. |
