I am a die hard Rouge fan in almost any MMO I have ever played. I always like to play the double dagger guy that runs around in hide and whoops butt from stealth.

BUT, in WAR I find that the way they made the charicters opened up a whole new world for me in MMO play style.

After being able to take every charicter in the game (at lest) up to level 10 in the game I have found that many of the charicters I really like to play are not even Rouges at all.

(disclaimer: I'm a Order Fan Boy, but I'll try to add some of the other side in my review. Also I do not PvE much and play RvR 90% of the time so this is how i feel about them in RvR)

1) Bright Wizard : I have never liked playing a mage in any game at all, but this guy is SUPER FUN. If you like standing back and getting huge kill counts this is the guy for you. The counterpart Socceress on the Dark Elf side is super fun as well but I feel at this point that the bright wizard shines a little more.

2) Witch Hunter: Even though this class has a stealth like skill he is far from a rouge. With its range ability, awsome mellee attacks and being able to stay alive in the middle of a battle for a long time makes this guy a monster in PvP. The counter part Witch Elf is also super fun and an amazing PvPer, but the lack of the ranged attakes made me feel like I was missing a little bit over the Witch Hunter.

3) Iron Breaker: Hands down the toughest Tank class in the game. You get both ranged attack (though weak) and mellee attacks. The thing I really like about this guy is the PBAOE buffs he gives when doing his attacks. His skills increase your firends stats around you, this is something I have never seen in a tank class before and it made me feel like a secondary buffer while I was kicking major butt. Ths toon with a dedicated healer combo is unstoppable.

4) Shadow Warrior: Even though this toon looks like a Ranger, don't expect him to play like one. This guy is more like a Bow Warrior (just like the name would suggest). He has no stealth, but don't let that stop you becuase he can dish out some major ranged damage. When player get to close you can change over and attack with the sword, but i have a better idea for you, Run with someone else in RvR, be in ventrillo, when someone get on you call out to your partner to attack him, ignore the fact that he is attacking you and set your sights on a ranged target. The sword damage on the Shadow Warrior is low and in close range your mostlikely going to die anyways if you dont have someone watching your back.. so deal as much damage as you can to the other side before you go down and take one for the team.

Well..... thats all for now, I'll come and post some more later :)

Enjoy and WAAAAAAAAGHHHHGHGHGHG!!@!@!@!@#!!

I wholeheartedly agree. From the beginning, I've wanted to play a Dark Elf and nothing else. I tried out all three Dark Elf classes and found they weren't for me. Just not my play style. So I said, "What the hell! Let me try a Witch Hunter since I see so many of them!"

Wow! I love it and I know it will be my class in release now. After I get home from the renaissance faire today, I am going to try the Bright Wizard, Dwarf Engineer and some other classes I've been itching to play.

Btw, when does the Witch Hunter get stealth? I don't have that ability yet and I am level 10.

I have only played the Witch Hunter to level 10 myself and I in love. I have not seen how stealth works yet are when you get it, but one thing is for sure... from all the people I have talked to do not expect there stealth to be like other games. There are NO true stealth classes in WAR.

I heard it only works from Behind and it costs a lot of AP to use. I do not think I will miss it though, it is only a cherry on top ot the icing on top of a well built cake.

I love being right up in the thick of it pounding on tanks.

Ok, two questions.

1.  What is a 'Rouge'?

2. What is a 'Socceress' - is there a female football mini-game or something?

WH get stealth at I thought 10 but it might be 11.

any way it works like any other ablity you activate it but unlike other games this will drain your action points as its on so you can't be stealthed forever.

also a small thing about stealth, is high initiative allows people to see you stealthed so if your lvl 11 or 12 don't try to stealth around a lvl 20 or 21 also some classes like SW have high iniative and can see you at lower lvls.

However if you want anyone to take you seriously, realize that rouge is something women wear to look good at parties and to turn men on, while a rogue is what you play because you like sneaking around and backstabbing stuff.

Having to cringe every time I see you misspell rogue takes out lots from your post, no matter how informative it may be.

Well, let me start by saying I don't give a shit how you spell Rogue. I knew what you were trying to say and didn't have a problem understanding it.

On topic, I have been wanting to level up an Ironbreaker very much. I plan to play one at launch because they are part of the least popular faction (dwarves), and they are somewhat of a rarity (alongside the Rune Priest).

I have been holding back on playing one though, I hate playing through all of the content in beta and having nothing new to explore or experience at launch. So for now, I am trying all of the other races.

*Cheers* to all of the other future Dwarves out there!

this game when it says "Tank" it means ur the person to take the dmg in PVP not in PVE, there are only a handful of instanced things in this game and most are not PVE instances ala WoW, so you dont have to worry about tanking npcs, but tanking other green orcs and chaos

Ironbreakers and Black Orcs are two of the most annoying careers to go against in PvP.

Heh, you sure as hell don't know how to use an ellipsis.

OP: Good review. I'll make sure to try out the different classes before deciding on one
