haha,  Funcom siege video

One thing funcom and mythic proved is that you can tell a lot from Beta leaks.

I also liked how in their annual report to investors they said that you are suppose to expect bad press and negative reaction during launch.  Another funny thing is their was a statement on how all the Advertising Testing went well.  You know all those ads you saw months before release.  That was just the advertisement beta testing.  The freaks actually beta tested their ad campaign more then their sieging systems.  Fricken failcom.

Yay!! After only 3 months, we've managed to get from "a few weeks" to "most probably next week, or shortly after" (i.e. "maybe next week, maybe not").

Good to see they've admitted the other videos were not pure in-game video, and had scripting, simulation, and/or post-processing.

Otherwise, a completely empty update, except "we're upgrading our webservers".

Not really IMO. It also said that some things are delayed but it won't affect their 2008-release *happy* and that more people are joining the Aventurine team.

What nonsense, this game will be lucky to come in 2009, it WON"T be a 2008 title, anyone that knows anything about producing a game can definitively tell you that.

How so many posters can live in a fairy tale world taking everything said by the Darkfall staff as gospel is beyond me.  Tasos has constantly lied to everyone.   Come on, you can only cry wolf so many times before people stop believing you.

Maybe someday, something called Darkfall will hit the ether, but it most probably won't be in the form described  by their website.

Both of you don't have enough information to say anything about Aventurine making the 2008 deadline or not.  In fact Aventurine cannot be 100% sure themselves because they don't have the power to see into the future.

Tasos said they are on track on making it but hasn't made any guarantees it will. And really, so what ?

It will release when finished and free2try.

What else would you as a customer demand at this point ?

I don't care if the release is this year or 5 years down the line, as long as they do it right.

Also... for a video! Hoepfully we finally see what's been in the oven!

It will be free2try when finished? Is that official? If so, Adventurine.

Aventurine lets the professionals do the boring and fustrating bughunting, leaving you to try out the finished game.

I think it's funny that they seem to be trying hard to convince us that the footage is 100% in game, pure gameply, no phoney baloney stuff, etc.  :)
