"The Day that never comes"

Theres the song in case you need to hear it.

My opinion:

I think its crap, people saying "Old Metallica are back", not even by a long shot. The Energy and passion they had in there music is completely dead, and on top of the that the lyrics and vocals coming out of hatfield these days are just horrible.

Some bands need to know when to call it quits, the sad thing is, you look at DIO and Ozzy, there voices still sound great after all these years, DIO especially but thats because hes like a old woman when it comes to making sure he doesnt mess up his voice.

I intend to live forever -- So far so good!

I was never really a Metallica fan...

I think the only song I like by them was I Disappear and that's about it.  The grainy voice that Hatfield had just killed it for me.

“The things you own end up owning you.” -Tyler Durden

i didnt like it. Although im not a metallica fan either, whats the difference between old metallica and new metallica? Did they change band members or something?

EDIT: would also like to add that i am a fan of Rock, and they sounded like they were forcing the lyrics and everything in that song, i didnt feel a good flow and good chemistry come from that song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRYDetbwegs - Enter Sandman, (old school Metallica) an awesome example of many.

Metallica is my favourite band, but I'm not in the mood for listening to music atm so I have yet to fomulate a proper opinion on this new stuff. Cyanide sounded pretty 'meh' though.

Bring back Jason, get rid of that friggin' ape-lookin' Trujillo.

Justice for All was their last great album, The Black Album was okay, Reload started the decline.

It''s not that I''m afraid to die. It''s just I don''t want to be there when it happens.

Metallica always gave me a migrane. Old...new...it's all bad to me.

InvaderGaz

I had to stop it at 2:15 before I started laughing.

They were forcing it, and it sounded an awful LOT like The Unforgiven 2.

Just as is the case with other bands, I only like a few songs by Metallica. Which is just as well after their whole DRM thingy a while back which ticked me off.

Fleetwood Mac is still awesome after all these years. In fact one of their more recent albums might be their best ever.

"Adjusts ponytails and pulls the lollipop out of my mouth"

Yea .. that is BS, Pshhhh at people saying old metallica is back , guess they don't know what old metallica even was. Old metallica  got banned from reunion here in Dallas when we ripped the place apart and set the seats on fire during whiplash.  They sold out, so much for the garage days, so much for the $5.98 garage days of wanting to keep music free and affordable.  James Hetfield stopped being hawt when he cut his hair.  Guess they all just turned into a bunch of grouchy old men.. tis ok  we have the memories of ride the lightning and kill em all ... what you used to be, but for me all metallica is is a memory. They grew up and become what they said they never would.  It's okay there are still young guys like Hatebreed to keep it hard and fast enough for me .
