MMORPG Character Monuments

...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest...

For the first big weekend of WAR. The gameplay was a bit chopy, but it held well together. NO crashes, no huge bugs (least not for me). Right out the gate a fun time was had in PVE and RvR at level 5.

The one issue I noted however is that there just wasnt a lot of communication between players. I was expecting barremns chat. However, No Chat channel spam , no yells or anything. Its not as much a game issue as it is a player issue.

I took the road less traveled by and that has made all the difference.

I think a lot of people even like myself were trying to figure out the mechanics of the game and didn't really find time to do a lot of chatting.  I could be wrong, but atleast for me that's why I didn't talk much.

Looking forward to : Wrath of the Lich King

I noticed this also about no one talking. I would even shout "Where is this or that?" and everyone sat in silence. Then I would join groups with no communication whatsoever and I would say things like "Waaaghhhh!" or "Good job guys!" on some PQs and rarely did anyone ever say a word. Felt like I was playing with bots and honestly bots normally say a standard thing back to you at this point. :) I assume everyone is so engrossed in everything they are not bothering with talking right now. If that doesn't change then wow, it will be a lot less fun.

Molon labe

I noticed this in beta. But later teens when things slow down a fraction and people get used to their characters, people start communicating and grouping a lot more.

i think you hit it on the head, people are trying to figure out how to play and are not really interested in chat at the moment, you need to give a community time to grow a little before everyone will warm up to everyone.

I played for 6 hours yesterday, and did not do much conversation, just with my guild on ventrilo, then came home from work at midnight and worked on understanding the interface ( nothing else for an hour )

Lots to understand, and seems to have a lot more going on than any other game with a smaller world.

So yes, I'm sure that's what most did.

Very good game !!

The suspense is terrible. I hope it will last.

Also WAR throws you right into combat, there is never a dull moment in the zone where you have time to think since the game is very new to everyone and there are quests all over the place to grab and read.

As you increase in levels and start getting to that 30ish mark, things will intend to slow down and levels wont come so fast, so we expect to see more chatting as we progress thru the game and the community grows.

WAR has made pug's easier as well, so people spamming LFG, we probably wont see as much since you can just join any group in any area.

Crafting is scary in this game and probably the biggest letdown, but I do see a auction house to where peeps may be spamming certain items they are trying to get rid of.

Waiting for Earthrise, Stargate Worlds, Fallen Earth, Mortal Online, Darkfall and WAR 40K Online.
