WAR (Warhammer Online)

Seriously MMO's like WAR are really getting old.  When will devs learn to really innovate ?  Once again they serve us the same dish we already ate 100 times over.   The same old hack and slash system, press 1 to 4 special and a mob die.   Go kill 10 random mob, go gather 10 random thing, deliver that thing to this guy....  WOW DING i leveled ....BORING.   Why did i ever tought WAR could have been different.

Yeah there is some new things, like the PQ,  but even after a while it gets boring.  Scenario, just another word for BG, cause it's a WOW BG clone.

Maybe i'm just bored with the whole MMO's genre, no, i dont think so, i'm just tired of playing games that ALL feels the same, all plays the same but with just different names.

Actually if you bothered reading the quest text, it's not "10 random mobs."  It's 10 mobs with an actually well written story behind it.  And everything pushes the war forward. 

Also, if scenarios are a WoW BG clone, then WoW BGs are a DAoC BG clone.....

Also it looks like you haven't set foot in the Open World RvR areas.  I think you may want to get up to Keep Sieges before saying there's nothing different.  You start being able to siege and take over keeps at Tier 2, so you only have to get to level 12.

So your basically asking fantasy massively-multiplayer role-playing game developers to stop making fantasy massively-multiplayer role-playing games?

Not bored in the least. Enjoying it alot and the keep sieges are where it s at. Those things you mentioned are filler till the sieges and in between.

News flash. All games ARE the same. When's the last time something really innovative happened to FPS or RTS games? It's been the same crap since Doom and Warcraft with only the graphics really improving.

Did you really expect MMOs to be that different?

The thing about WAR is that it's much more of a "game" in the traditional sense than other MMOs. The focus isn't on leveling up - you do it nice and fast. it's about team-based competition. Your team against the other guys, one winner one loser. This game is about fun, not creating some alternate world where you can pretend to exist in place of reality.

If you aren't having fun, don't play. It's that simple.

Oh how naive. The real game here at MMORPG.com is bitching. Posts that have anything good to say about anything get burried fast. The whole point is to flame and stir up crap. It's not about the games. Obviously they haven't played the game enough to make a meaningful judgement. The whole point is to find things they dislike about the game (whatever game forum they happen to be posting in) and find creative ways to say it sucks.

Then others come in behind them and defend whatever game it is and call them stupid when they're the stupid ones for thinking anything they say will have any effect whatsoever on their target.

Then the mean hater guy comes back with calling that guy a fanboi and lists reasons why this game is for losers and the game he plays is much better and he's been playing MMOs since Jesus made the internet and knows Kung Fu...

You get the idea. It's the Forum Wars and this month's battleground is Warhammer.
