That isnt anything new. Most games that have classes wont let you choose the stats you want to increase, helps to keep idiots from fuckin up what they are doing more than they do usually. I don't know what game you played last, but the only games that did that are some F2P games, which lacked a variety of classes to begin with.

Did you look around much? The PQ is just an big mob. In every MMO I have played I could kill something 29384729387329847239874 times and every damn time hes going to come back in that same spot. PQs are just another kinda "mob" with a new spin. Its more immersive imo just from that fact alone. Think of WoW quests even had the same problem. I went and saved Westfall or w/e countless times from being wiped out or something like that, just like the guy before me and the one before him. WAR still wins imo. Then you have the fact of just the art. You go into the first scenario and see its obviously a dwarven gate, and looking on the other side of you and think "OH @(#*! They're all over OUR stuff!!" If you can't think of a reason not to beat the fluff out of all the greenskins and keep your turf I don't know what will. Then think about how Tier5 is just a HUGE aspect of that and you have the start of some good RvR imo. |

Me. I seem to be interested in the Sorcerer only, and zealot to a small degree. I just can't find any other classes to be fun, and I don't think I'll be buying the game when I'll have 2 characters at the most. The game is good, but this class situation really puts me off. |

I don't see how so many are having huge amounts of fun, it's just more of the same with a few sprinkles. Things I like: Cool environments Decent graphics Comical greenskin starting area Fairly balanced classes
Things I don't like: Slow combat Boring PvP Just another MMO Not enough choices for character development
To cancel, or not to cancel....hmmmmmmmmmmm. |

I think PQs are a lot more fun with fewer players, when you are in the newbie ones with 30 players running around they are still ok but they lose a lot of the charm. At higher levels you'll be doing them with 6-12 players and have better chances at loot and they will be harder. I believe it is v that brings up the crafting interface but I could be wrong about that, haven't tried apothecary in a while now since I was waiting on the potion revamp to go through. |

Yes, everything gives XP, but only quests give a good amount. I gained level 5 by doing the first PQ 10 times, that took more than an hour, then I do 3 quests in 10 minutes and gain another level. Grinding quest and grinding mobs is the same thing but I don't like grinding quests. As for items not mattering then what do I do things for? Renown and reputation don't give a nice DING! feeling, you barely even notice it when you gain some. What drew me to this game was how they advertised it as a game that makes you feel like you have a purpose. I want to feel like I'm accomplishing something when I'm doing a PQ, a scenario or just killing mobs for no reason. I know I'm part of the war effort and I need to contribute but I have yet to feel like it, I'm not seeing my accomplishments impacting the world.
Edit: Oh, and I forgot a big one. Character Customization, where is it? I can't choose which stats to raise or anything, the only thing to do when you level up is to buy your next skill. I never understood why a game would show you stats but make you unable to alter them aside from items.
Another tester who got to lvl 5 and didnt like what he saw. You have plenty of chances to change your stats, you just havent seen them yet. Tactics, Talismans, Potions, Renown skills, and the choices in the accessory slots. You didn't see the effect of your PQ on the game world because there were 368541365423864 new players on both sides doing the same PQs in the same Tier. Look at the slide bar above your map that shows zone control. RvR, Scenarios, BOs are not the only things that affect that slide, PQs do as well. Lock a zone and get the BUFF, or help raise Altdorf's /Inevitable city lvl by doing PQs there for a Side wide buff. Grind mobs, its actually pretty fun. You will unlock tactics, XP, titles from grinding mobs in the game. |

You make a pretty big assumption, I actually had 2 chars level 6 when I wrote this. All those things to change your stats are not controlled, their just passive buffs, I want control over my development. Btw, my first char was a White Lion and I've never seen such crappy A.I. That thing was useless, it never listened and got stuck everywhere! I agree with your second point though, it's the reason why I think the PQs should be instanced. All I want for this is something that gives me that DING feeling when I'm doing those things, it doesn't matter if it has any value I just want something. Camera control is not good enough for Scenarios, new annoyance I found. Although now that I have a real level 8 those are more fun. That level buff they give is not even close to good enough to compare to the real level |

I find it helps to not anticipate games so highly. I have a ton of friends who expected this game to be the game to end all games lol. I always told them, it's going to be a good solid all around entertaining game, but not an OMFG THIS GAME ROCKS NERD RAGE. I went in expecting a good but not stunning game, and what I got... was a good game :D. I am not disappointed with it, in fact I am damn happy with it. If you drop your heightened expectations ( if you have any ) and look at the game for what qualities it has and if those qualities match what you are looking for, then... well... nothing to complain about :D. |

Actually, you can train your stats and specialize your build with renown levels. That would be something you figure out by playing the game a bit more rather than getting to level 2 and rerolling though. you have to get into the characters some to find the meat and depth to ANY character in ANY mmo... if the MMO has depth. This one does. |
